okiestar Posted December 7, 2011 #1 Posted December 7, 2011 (edited) Time to make a believer out of me. Since trading the RSTD back in August, I thought I'd probably let my membership here expire since we purchased a Victory. Well, I did, for a couple weeks, and really missed it. So I'm back onboard showing off our new ride. Since mid August we've logged about 5K on it. I think had I originally purchased a RSV and not the RSTD, I probably wouldn't be posting this but instead would still own the Venture. We love this Vision and wanted to share some pics. This is a great site and as Rumboogy said a couple weeks back, it's a shame more MC groups can't be this good. http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa76/looped1/CassvilleFallRideMissouri2011029.jpg http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa76/looped1/PopsArcadiaOklahomaTrip056.jpg http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa76/looped1/BikesBluesBBQandEurekaOct2011123.jpg http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa76/looped1/CassvilleFallRideMissouri2011507.jpg http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa76/looped1/NewPaintArcadiaandPopstrip149.jpg Edited December 7, 2011 by okiestar

SilvrT Posted December 7, 2011 #3 Posted December 7, 2011 Welcome back!!! Very nice looking scoot ... really like it in White! I see it parked beside a Wing there ... I wonder if us "Wingers" have now shed that exclusivity of riding "Tupperware" ?? :stickpoke:

Yammer Dan Posted December 7, 2011 #5 Posted December 7, 2011 We could call one Tupperware and one Rubber Maid???:whistling:
SilvrT Posted December 7, 2011 #6 Posted December 7, 2011 Oh come on,,,,, what will we ever have to stir the pot with if we can't use 'tupperware' anymore. Oh I wasn't suggesting we stop using it altogether .... just that it could now apply to more than one kind of scoot ....
SilvrT Posted December 7, 2011 #7 Posted December 7, 2011 We could call one Tupperware and one Rubber Maid???:whistling: Now there's an idea.... or we could just come up with a new name ... "TupperMaid" .... hmmmm that could cause a lawsuit tho .... copyright infringement ... theft ....
Capt-D Posted December 7, 2011 #8 Posted December 7, 2011 Nice bike, really like the color. How comfortable is the bike?
okiestar Posted December 8, 2011 Author #10 Posted December 8, 2011 How comfortable is the bike? All I really have is my 06 Tour Deluxe to compare to. For touring 2 up, Victory, hands down wins for us. On our overnight weekend rides, I used to get home Sunday and truly was fatigued on our Yamaha. On this Vision, I'm sad to get back home now. And then there's the handling. You'd just have to ride one. I really had no idea how top heavy and cumbersome our Tour Deluxe was. Being the only bike I'd owned after a 20 year break, I rode it hard, revved it hard and loved it. Thought it was the best handling bike I'd ever been on. Now I know differently but I certainly don't rev like I used to.
bj66 Posted December 8, 2011 #11 Posted December 8, 2011 Speaking of "Tupperware", I've often wondered when opening up the trunk or bags. Do you get that "Burping" sound?
Rick Butler Posted December 8, 2011 #12 Posted December 8, 2011 Well Okie, If you are interested seeing what a Vision will really do in a corner look at the following picture. http://xa.yimg.com/kq/groups/20012239/sn/1069935261/name/image001.jpg Check out the front wheel, which is a classic example of counter-steering Rick All I really have is my 06 Tour Deluxe to compare to. About a month ago, the wife and I did a test ride on the new Victory Cross Tourer - sweet handling bike. Her observation from riding on the back of that bike was that it was more comfortable and roomy, and that she felt I was much more at ease going through the twisties on the Victory over my Tour Deluxe - and she was right, even though I was "nervous" as I don't like to ride "others" bikes - even for a test ride. More than likely, our next bike will be the Cross Tourer. While I personally like the Vision, you cannot beat the luggage space available on the Cross Tourer - thus the reason I prefer that model.

I have to agree on the CCT ... a real sweet ride and they've really stepped it up this year from the first model. If I wasn't pulling this Leesur-Lite tent trailer, the CCT probably would have been my next ride. Do really like this Wing tho but it does feel more like you're driving a car than a motorcycle LOL.
playboy Posted December 9, 2011 #17 Posted December 9, 2011 Congratulations on the new ride. Almost looks fast sitting still Check out the riding apparel on Silvr T other post your next ATGATT or something Glad your sticking around.
