Well anyone that has been around here for a spell knows that I have a hound from hell. Her name is Lily but should have been named Satan. I will not recant the thousands of dollars of things she has destroyed in the first 3 years of her young life. I actually believed that she suffered a brain injury before we purchased her but soon found out that she is actually of high intelligence as long as you have a treat in your hand..Not to mention her selective hearing and just plain stubborness... Well that is neither here nor there because she has made me fall in love with her. The scamp reminds me of ME in so many ways, but I don't want to get into that either and no I do not normally chew up the furniture...well, not that often anyway ......this bring me to my point of this story....My lovely bride Taters has been suggesting ALOT about getting her a playmate......no.. no.... not a playmate for Taters.... the dog silly.....NOOOOOOOOOOOO WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY I say.........YEAH RIGHT...!! Well, I was surfing and found this site...... www.nybasset.org Dang site......WE had our interview yesterday and we are being notified shortly if we are going to be parents again.............. his name is FLASH and can be viewed on their site in the adoption pending section........WAIT, IS GETS BETTER...I have also filled out an application to become a volunteer for this organization and become involved in the RESCUE OF THESE LITTLE BUGGERS.....HOW do these thing happen to me.......?? Please take a look at the site and wish Taters and I luck in our quest to adopt this big beautiful boy ........this is a pic our our little troublemaker when she was a pup...HOW SWEET she looks......yeah, she fooled us.....lol

Been poking around the local m/c on-line classifieds. What's with these people (both private and dealers) that they think they can gouge buyers just because it's "that time of year". I seen an ad somewhere for an '06 Cherry RSV and the guy was asking $14,500 for it ..... yeah, there's a sukker born every minute but none so bad as to fall for that price... geeeesh .... and these dealers...errrr, I mean STEALERS around here .... man!!! '03 Wing, no ABS, no farkles, 80,000 km .... $14,500 .... they're nutz! (rant off)

Actually I can't take credit for that. My son-in-law who is a journeyman mechanic did it, I just watched. As it turned out he did a totally professional job. We had trouble with one stator bolt that would not break loose. He had to actually take the stator assembly to his shop, weld a nut onto the bolt and then take it off. While he was there he cleaned it all up and then came back and he completed the install. We didn't solder the wires, he re-used the connector. Like I said he did a beautiful job. And I have to thank Brad (Squidley) for his comments as well. I'll be the first to admit I'm not a wrench. If I had attempted to do this solo my wife would have eventually found me curled up in the fetal position on the cold garage floor or sitting underneath my toolbox with a bottle of tequila gripped between my fists mumbling stark, imprecations against Yamaha, the government and realtors but not necessarily in that order. So here's the deal. Yeah so I don't know my Robertson's from my Philips head screw drivers. Who cares? I have a mechanic for a son-in-law. Anyway where was I...Oh yeah, the deal. I have a perfectly good OEM stator out of my 2004 RSV that I want to put in the classifieds and Ebay but I have no idea what it might be worth. Anyone have an idea what it might be worth? Thank you in advance. Chris in Red Deer, Alberta.

I know our friends are having some server weather down south but I have had enough of winter already and now they say we are going to get 1-2 inches of snow tonight. Can some one wake me when this is over? Now I know why bears hibernate. :sign yeah that:

If you see a sort of short 1LT over there with a Fargason nametape and a 1st ID patch, tell Josh he owes you an ice cream and I will pay him back when he comes home. Yeah I know it is a big country, but weirder things have happened. Stay safe.

THE RULES OF RURAL MICHIGAN ARE AS FOLLOWS: 1. Pull your droopy pants up. You look like an idiot. 2. Turn your cap right, your head isn't crooked. 3. Let's get this straight; it's called a 'dirt road.' I drive a pickup truck because I want to. No matter how slow you drive, you're going to get dust on your Lexus. Drive it or get out of the way. 4. They are cattle. They're live steaks. That's why they smell funny to you. But they smell like money to Michigan farmers. Get over it. Don't like it? I-94 goes east and west, I-75 goes north and south. Pick one. 5. So you have a $60,000 car. We're impressed. Grain farmers have $350,000 combines that they drive only 3 weeks a year. 6. So every person in rural Michigan waves. It's called being friendly. Try to understand the concept. 7. If that cell phone rings while an 8-point buck and 3 does are coming in, we WILL shoot it out of your hand. You better hope you don't have it up to your ear at the time. 8. Yeah, we eat taters, gravy, beans and cornbread. You really want sushi and caviar? It's available at Jim's bait shop... 9. The 'Opener' refers to the first day of deer season. It's religious holiday held on the 15th of November. 10. We open doors for women. That applies to all women, regardless of age. 11. No, there's no 'vegetarian special' on the menu. Order steak. Or you can order the Chef's Salad and pick off the 2 pounds of ham & turkey. 12. When we fill out a table, there are three main dishes: meats, vegetables, and breads. We use three seasonings - salt, pepper, and ketchup. Oh, yeah....We don't care what you folks in Detroit call that stuff you eat...IT AIN'T REAL CHILI!! 13. You bring 'coke' into my house, it better be brown, wet and served over ice. 14. You bring 'Mary Jane' into my house, she better be homegrown, cute, knows how to shoot, drive a truck, and she better have long hair.. 15. College and high school football/basketball are as important here as the Lions and the Pistons .... And more fun to watch. 16. Yeah, we have golf courses. But don't hit the water hazards -- it spooks the fish. 17. Colleges? We have them all. We have State Universities , Community Colleges, and Voc-techs. Folks come outta there with an education plus a love for God and country, and they still wave at everybody when they come for the holidays.. 18.Turn down that blasted car stereo! That thumpity-thump crap ain't music, anyway..We don't want to hear it anymore than we want to see your boxers. Refer back to #1. 19. Four inches of snow isn't a blizzard - it's lite flurry's. Drive in it like you got some sense, and DON'T take all our bread, milk, and bleach from the grocery stores. This ain't Alaska . Worst case you may have to live a whole day without croissants. The pickups with snowplows will have you out the next day. 20. By the way.... If you want to talk to God in Michigan , it's a local call.

...was finding out that all retailers in Western NY and SW Ontario are no longer carrying replacement soap and filters for the Mr. Clean Autodry car wash system...and I know this because it seemed like I personally checked out all of the retailers myself...whew. Apparently, I had enough stock on hand not to realize that the product was discontinued last year sometime. Dam, I hate it when a good product is discontinued...(can anyone say, yeah me too, like the 1st gen Venture was too?). Sooo what are all you users going to do? Are there retailers I don't know about? Yeah, yeah, I know about Amazon and eBay....groan.
