Have any Venture Riders ever thought or heard of swapping the 1300cc out with the thumping 1854cc of the Stratoliner? Would it bolt to the transmition of the Venture since they're both 5 speeds? Don't get me wrong, I love my ride, and I understand it's a bike in it's own class built for the long cruise. But what if...What if it could be more? What if I could have the luxurious comfort of Yamaha's #1 tour bike, powered by the loping thump of Yamaha's biggest V-Twin? So...what do you all think? Has it been done, or can it be done?

Looking to add a light bar but can't seem to find a after market that says it will fit. Do I have to buy Yamahas? Do I need a actual bar or is there another way to mount lights?

Hello everone, I have a in warrenty 06 rsmtd last week the dealer installed a new smaller gear that meshes with the gear on the clutch basket. The chirp was reduced for about 100 miles, then it came back. I called the dealer to report the chirp was back and he said he would call Yamaha and get back with me which he did. He gave me Yamaha's customer service number and said he has done all he could do. Now I need advice on what I should do next. Thanks for all of your help:sick: Midnight ryder

At around 60 mph I hear whisling since a week and I didn't do anything on my bike. Some of my friends dont want to buy a RSV for this reaon. Apparently the Yamaha's engineer are not able to find the cause of this agressive noise (whistling). If one of you found the cause let me know. Louis

Not really a big surprise but still not good. Yamaha's production numbers are actually down by 60.8%. http://www.webbikeworld.com/Motorcycle-news/statistics/motorcycle-sales-statistics.htm

I am also a member of STAR chapter 304 Fayetteville, Ga. And all of our members own Yamaha's and several of us own two Yamaha's...until now. One of our members who owns a 06 Stratoliner went out and bought:mo money::mo money: an brand new 2009 Harley Ultra Classic. He hasn't completely lost his mind as he kept the Strat. Well, we all met today and got our first look at the new Ultra Classic and it's proud new owner (one wearing the helmit) and one of his buddies (one wearing the shades) and an oil spot (just happened to be there but not really from the Harley but we had him going). The Ultra Classic is really a beautiful bike and I really hope he likes it. Well here are the pictures, enjoy. Harry:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Does anyone know where I can get a drivers backrest, non studded, for a stock seat for a 08 Venture..............or do they even make such a thing? I checked Yamaha's site but couldn't find one. Any advise?

OK I haven't even successfully ran one M&E yet but we're off to a good start. I want to start on the next one before the snow falls (I hate the sound of that!)... HD final assembly plant is here in York. I thought it would be fun if we had an M&E that includes the HD factory tour. Imagine a bunch of Yamahas lined up at the HD plant! I suppose someone could turn that around on us, but it could be fun. This would have to be October or later as my August and September are getting booked! Who's in??

Wondering if there's anyone that can tell me where to get a good backrest for my 2003 Venture. I met a couple from Canada last week with a 2006 Venture with what he said was a Yamaha OEM backrest. I checked through Yamaha and I wasn't able to find one. If someone could could lead me to Yamaha's backrest that would be great, or if anyone has a backrest they love on their second generation Venture, I'd be very appreciative to find out where they got it. Thanks, Terry

I have been looking at the new members list for about a year now and have not seen anyone listed in the Marietta, Ohio or the Parkersburg, WV area, as a matter of fact I don't see many of the of the big Yamaha's around here. If there is a member out there that rides this area send me an e mail, sgroves1@roadrunner.com .............. Keep the Sunny Side up and the Rubber Side Down............

i'm gonna have to trade my '86, in on a h.d.! those guys, can ride everyday in shorts, t-shirts, sandals, and NEVER a helmet. never see or hear of them guys getting creamed by a blue haired old lady in a new caddy! i think , there is a "subliminal" ,"bulls eye", painted on ALL big yamahas, that only "non-riders", can see! it is getting to a point, where just going out for an afternoon ride, is too risky, let alone an all out long distance tour! just jt
