I was just reading the headlines on our local radio stations website. Article indicated a local 62 year old rider was severely injured last Saturday morning around 11:00 A.M. A deer ran out of a cornfield and was struck by the 1989 motorcycle. The rider was wearing a helmet, but still sustained injuries to his face and legs. No other information available. I had a close call last week with the Murano. While traveling home from Wyoming in the dark, two deer jumped out on the highway in front of us. I almost took the bike instead of the car, glad I did not. It can happen at anytime of day or night.

We have decided to ride the RSV to Sturgis from our home in Cincinnati. We will be riding west on I-74,to I-80, to I-380, to I-35 to I 90. We will be camping and I was wondering if anyone along those routes could advise on campgrounds. We also need to know if anyone knows of a good campground in eastern Wyoming. I would appreciate any help on this. No we do not have a trailer, we are going to rough it. YamaMama:thumbsup2:

Friends I've heard the idle pilot holes are very small on our bikes. Has this become a problem for any of you getting plugged (rough idle)? Wyoming Tom

Sleeperhawk and I will be westward bound to Arizona on September 27!!!:cool10: I just cannot wait for this trip since we missed out on Fort Collins last year. Two weeks have been allocated for this trip! We should reach Texas Saturday the 27th and leave out on the 30th to Carlsbad, New Mexico and then to the Tucson area. We will be heading out of Tucson on October 5. We plan to go to Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon! I asked Sleeperhawk if we could possibly cross over into California and let me put my feet down on the state so I can color in that map too. He said YES! (So I will have quite a few states to color in by the time we get back to South Carolina!) From there, the plan is to travel upwards towards Colorado and the lower part of Wyoming (have never been to Wyoming) and then swing down through Nebraska, Kansas, and towards home. Since I am not familiar with a lot of the sights to be seen along those routes, I am asking our dear members to let me know what we should try to see. I know I will be taking a lot of pictures along the way and should break my record! Any advice would be sooooo greatly appreicated! Ride safe, Bobbie

OK guys I am leaving for Colorado in the morning. Stopping in Iowa to meet a fellow biker (nyuk), and then out through Nebraska through the sand hills and then some how some way to get to Denver / Thornton CO. to my daughters and then Tuesday 22nd to meet up with Big John for dinner and a meet and greet near there. Then the following weekend headed home and hopefully meet up with OB-1 out in Wyoming (east side) near the Black Hills and putts around there for a while. then back to Minnesota and Paul Bunyon and the 10,000 lakes for a much needed rest. See ya all when I get back.
