I know some of you have done this... Riding down the highway...and a sharp rock pops up right in your tire path and run over it...you hear it and you feel it. I bet I have done it a dozen times over the course of several years...but today I was inspecting my Dunlop E3's and noticed my front tire had a very small "v" cut into the high rubber tread. I took a small screw driver and tried to "probe"it to see how deep and it APPEARS to be superficial...I only have 8000 miles on this front tire. It looks like it would be wore down after a few hundred miles... I know that they can all be different, but just curious if anyone else has done this before...and did you replace or continue to roll.

At 20k my rear brake was worn out and took the rotor and the piston seals with it, now 15k later same happened (didn't lose the seals this time). Plus the pads wore differently inside was the one that wore out the quickest, outside pad looks new. My question is how often does everyone replace their pads on the rear (fronts are fine and I use them more than the rear). Is this kind of wear nomal? It looks like I'm going to have to every 10k to be on the safe side. Thoughts PLEASE

I am looking at getting another helmet since my full face is getting to be 5 years old and the lining wore out. I prefer the full face all the time, but summer heat does get intense with stop and go traffic. So I clicked on a link on our website about this helmet. A little bit pricey but was wondering if any of you have seen or wore the helmet? Also, if I do get this, I am looking for a head set that that has slim boom mic, not flush mounted. The JM mics I have are way to big as far as I am concerned with this type of helmet. http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/motorcycle-helmet/shark-evoline/dot/

I've spent the better part of the night trying to bleed these blasted rear brakes! Fluid will seep out all bleeders but will not build pressure. There's no telling how many brakes I've bled but this is the first that wore me completely out. I retired at 50 so I could spend my golden years riding...not bleeding brakes. Any suggestions? Fought the wind here in S. TX for the last 3 days and am wore down to a nub!! Don't really know the actual wind speed but estimate 25-30 mph straight wind with gusts up to 35-40 mph. Done wore out both sides of the Avons, never put the first mile on the center tho! LOL Also, never have had the wind try to take my helmet off, almost strangled me until I got the shield down! Oh well, all's well that ends well. :cool10: Don H.
