Does anyone know a good place / website to get one of those wooden bead seat covers for a bike seat at a good price. I want to get two but hate the idea of dropping $50 to $60 not knowing weather or not I'll like them. There was a place on ebay selling them for 12 buck but looks like there out.

A man and his wife, moved back home to West Virginia , from Ohio . The husband had a wooden leg, and to insure it back in Ohio cost them $2000. Per year! When they arrived in West Virginia , they went to an insurance agency to see how much it would cost to insure his wooden leg. The agent looked it up on the computer and said: '$39.' The husband was shocked and asked why it was so cheap here in West Virginia to insure it because it cost him $2000 in Ohio ! The insurance agent turned his computer screen to the couple and said, 'Well, here it is on the screen, it says: Any wooden structure, with a sprinkler system above it, is $39... You just have to know how to describe it!' (Those HILLBILLIES know how "to git 'ER done"; don't they?) Thought you might like that one..:rotfl:

I've come up with both halves of a wooden coffin lid. I'm thinking about building a veneered plywood box to fit, and use as a trailer. It would be about 80" long and 26" wide and 18-24" deep. Better half thinks I've gone over to the dark side. I say it's just wood. I make a large wooden cross at Christmas, but nobody thinks i'm going to crucify anyone. So, I guess my question is, would a bike pulling a homemade casket style trailer be shunned or looked upon as a 'little wierd'. Or accepted as one who marches to their own drum. At least I don't have 'little voices' telling me to this. Opinions please. Thanks

Wife and I rode to Madisonville, LA today for the wooden boat parade. It is held on the Tchefuncte (cha-funk-te) River, where you can see many camps that go from shacks to million dollar homes. The boats paraded are old wooden boats that look brand new and beauiful, but there are all kind of boats from kayaks to huge yachts and sail boats. The part I liked best were all the good looking ladies walking around. Just wish it was a little closer to summer so most would still be in bikinis. All in all it was a great ride up Hwy 22, a curvy road that runs along several local rivers and swamps. Dragonrider told me that it is one of his favorite roads to ride here when he is lucky enough to do so.
