I finally was able to get my pictures uploaded! It was a beautiful weekend for a bike ride and meeting up with our VR Family! What a great turn-out! Like Riderduke said, everyone was ready for a good ride! Our thanks to Riderduke for putting this together! We spent the night at Riderduke's and Felicia cooked supper for us and made the best dessert ever - Chocolate by Death! What a way to go! And we had our margarita toast to Warrior Saturday night. Thank you both for your wonderful hospitality! http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/2012/SleeperhawkMechanics%20201201%20NC%20ME/Sleeperhawk%20Mechanics%20VA%20091512%20ME/

Hey All, just wanted to say a Big Thank You to Freebird for all he does, and for allowing me to post my bike for sale, even though it is not a Venture. Since joining here years ago I have always liked this site with all the wonderful people. No matter what I ride, I always feel welcome here, and it is truly because of the ones in charge, so Thanks Again Don. Later-

We just got our RSV last weekend and I was getting a tad frustrated at the lack of accessories for the bike compared to others. I searched and searched and searched on here, asked some questions and, lo and behold, I had answers to just about anything and everything I wanted to know!! I'm still a tad frustrated at the lack of accessories for this bike compared to, say, a Harley , which everyone seems to make accessories for, but that's just the way it is and I love our new bike. So This board is wonderful!!!! Thank you to every single one of your for sharing your help, your experiences, your knowledge and your time with me and everyone else!!

A man was dining in a fancy restaurant and there was a gorgeous redhead sitting at the next table. He had been checking her out since he sat down, but lacked the nerve to speak to her. Suddenly she sneezed, and her glass eye came flying out of its socket toward the man. He reflexively reached out, grabbed it out of the air, and handed it back. 'Oh my, I am so sorry,' the woman said as she popped her eye back in place... 'Let me buy your dinner to make it up to you,' she said. They enjoyed a wonderful dinner together, and afterward went to the theatre and later had drinks.. They talked, they laughed, she shared her deepest dreams and he shared his. She listened. After paying for everything, she asked him if he would like to come to her place for a nightcap and stay for breakfast. They had a wonderful, wonderful time. The next morning, she cooked a gourmet meal with all the trimmings. The guy was amazed. Everything had been SO incredible! 'You know,' he said, 'you are the perfect woman. Do you treat every guy you meet this way?' 'No,' she replied... 'You just happened to catch my eye...'

First let me wish you all a very 'MERRY CHRISTMAS" from Taters and myself. I personally want to thank all of you for being part of my extended family. I want to thank the NY gang for putting up with me and for all the help throughout the year with with my annual rally and for their contributions in making ALL our rides and meet and eats a success. (this includes my friend north of the border !). Taters and I have made some truly wonderful everlasting friends here...From all the wonderful people we have met at MD, our rides and m&e's, thank you for being such a joy to be around.. If I have ever posted anything that offended you I am truly sorry, that was never my intent and I ask your forgiveness...Sometimes my fingers type faster than my brain works...Freebird what can I say, did you ever realize the impact you would have on peoples lives when you started this forum? I don't think so...So again "THANK YOU ALL" for being such great friends, for making me laugh when I'm having a bad day, for making me cry when I think I'M going thru hard times, for reminding me what true friendship is all about, and for humbling me with all your acts of kindness toward each other...GOD BLESS YOU ALL...

I would like to announce the Wedding of Kayla Caddel and James M Russell! They got married today at a wonderful Wedding and a wonderful Reception. I anxious to get to know the Caddel family and welcome / blend them into the Russell Family! Of course with our youngest out and on his own with his new Bride, I guess we will have to ride more to keep us from getting bored.

We are planning a trip down to northeast Iowa/Southwest Wisconsin in the next several weeks for a ride along the Mississippi river. Can anyone recommend roads, places of interest, a nice old style motel? We did the river ride from Hastings, MN down to LaCrosse earlier this summer and it was wonderful. Stayed in Fountain City, WI one nite at an older style motel that was completely refurbished. The motel owners were just wonderful. They hung out with us outside in the evening and chatted.

I have never driven a trike before, and found out it's not as simple as it looks! I need to practice the steering in an empty lot for a couple of hours!! I have to fight the urge to lean, and not to put my feet down! It's a whole different world for sure. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it though. Don't have much choice, do I?!!? Had an absolutely wonderful time yesterday! Met KY Rider for the first time along with B2Dad at Hannigans and we had a wonderful bredakfast together later. B2Dad showed us a local bike shop, Pit Bull (some of you may have heard of the Pit Bull lift) and I bought myself a new leather jacket as my old one is getting just that, OLD! Later we spent the afternoon in Paris! Tenessee that is. Helped out the local economy, Becky loves to shop! Met up fod dinner with B@ Mom and Dad, Mr. & Mrs. Monty, and Midnight for an excellent dinner! It's off to Nashville later this morning for a couple of days then back here, hopefully for a little riding Thursday compliments of KY Rider!!

Been in touch with Starfan....For the newer members...he is a member from Iceland who traveled here to the states last year to ride with the NY gang to Freebirds maintenance day and stayed and visited a few of our members in NY, Penn., and Ohio...what a wonderful GENTLEMAN to get to know (and yes, he keeps a bike here in the US to ride)...He still refers to my guest room as HIS room...lol..well..........TATERS and I have been talking to Starfan and after numerous invatations from him , have decided to plan a trip in 2011 to go to Iceland and visit Jonas.... Where else but right here can you make friends like this...Jonas has been working in Norway since he returned home and will be there for at least one more year.....he doesn't make it home very often and tells me how he misses his family...Comunication is difficult as he is up in the mountains and doesnt get off the mountain that often....he is boring and building a tunnel thru it....He tells me Norway would be a wonderful place to ride with all the twisties .....He tries to pop on the site as often as he can ...Says he misses everyone and wants to wish everyone a happy holiday....he will be comming home for Christmas.......he also can't see comming to MD this year as he wants to finish his tunnel...He did promise to bring his wife to NEW YORK CITY along with his sons this year...Hope we can hook up then.........BLACK DEATH ANYONE???????
