Friends are wanting to take a bike trip from Northwestern Oklahoma to about Mammoth Cave park in Kentucky in Late October this year. Sounds like a good time to us, should be nice colors in the trees and one last chance for a trip before the cold weather really sets in. We don't get that direction much and wondered if anyone had any advice to what the Kentucky weather typically is around the last of October. Also wondered if Local folks in that area had advice on things we should see / experience while in the area. Thanks much, Creole

Any one here riding a nice looking blonde 1st gen staying at an extended stay motel in Vilano Beach, just outside of St Augustine FL? Me and Jean were hanging out on the Vilano Pier and as we were leaving we saw a 1st gen parked in the motels lot. I did a drive-by but no one looked out and I didnt see anything that would indicate hes a member here. Just wondered.....those pesky first gens are so rare, but to find one actually on the road, well........and I know it wasnt Dan.

Haven't been able to get on the Venturers site for several days. Says there are not forums period. Still logged in. I know it is a competing site, but many if not most people there are also on here. Just wondered if it was me or the site? Thanks

I had a chance to ride a friends new 2010 Goldwing this past weekend. A great bike for sure. Being 6'6" tall I found myself a bit crowded and wondered if the seat could be modified somewhat to move me up and back a few inches. Has anyone had experience with this? Can the seat be modified easily? I also wondered if the handlebars could be adjusted so they could be farther away? My wife really liked the Wing. We both noticed that the intercom/sound system to be superior to our RSV using our JM headsets. Wind buffeting also seemed to be less. Definately quieter and smoother. Fuel injection, ABS and heated seats and grips are also a huge plus. If I can sort out the leg room and handlebars this will be the RSV's replacement. JR

Does anyone know why all UK ventures are sold without the neat hinge sticker (word venture) so well photographed on the front of the Clymer manual? I know you can order them for a silly price via Yamaha, just wondered if anyone has run there own up. Sorry if you've already read this, I think I put it in the wrong forum.

I see that Tapatalk offers a version for the Blackberry but the reviews are not that great so far. Is anybody here using it? My company made the decision that we were all moving to Blackberries and I received mine on Tuesday. Haven't played with it too much yet and it is really going to take some getting used to the small buttons but otherwise, it seems OK so far. It is a Bold 9650. May try Tapatalk but just wondered if anybody here is already using it.

Has anyone heard anything on when they will be back up. I heard they were having server problems and were supposed to have it fixed by last weekend. I know there are quite a few members here and just wondered if there was anyone that knew anything.

Thought this might be of some interest to some of ya'll. I don't think you have Tim Horton's coffe/donut shops "down south" but here in Canada they are everywhere and almost all of them have lineups whenever you go there. I always wondered why ... always thought "they must be doing something to addict people" ... now I know they do.

Calm down guys it's not what you think. I got my tank bra from Troy Savoie and I deleted the email with the directions. It looks pretty simple but mainly wondered if you use any type of adheasive. Looks like you take the existing trim on the bottom of the tank and replace it with the new trim.

To my knowledge, there are not any V-6 bikes and I have always wondered why not. With inline 6's, boxer type (GW) 6's and V-4's and many inline 4's, I always wondered why the V-6 was not an option. I know there is a problem with uneven pulse seperation unless the crankshaft rod journels are stepped, but that is a common thing now in V-6 car engines to increase smoothness. RandyA

Think I Blew the left speaker last Saturday, so this Saturday will be work-not-ride day. Oh well. Remember someone replacing theirs with Pioneer from Wally's. I know what size, but wondered which model worked the best. Thanks, DJ:mo money:

All I need is one last piece to fix the fairing and finish my parts hunt and I hit the refresh to see the price go from 30 to 122 bucks and pretty much right out of my reach. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/86-93-1989-YAMAHA-VENTURE-ROYALE-RIGHT-SIDE-SPEAKER_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35596QQihZ015QQitemZ250170170633QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW I always wondered what it was like to own a solid gold bike cause apparently it's worth it's weight in it piece by piece.- 10 replies

Hi fellow RSTD riders! There's a projector on the bottom of the stock seat that should slip into a slot on the frame. This stabilizes the back of the seat. I have had the darndest time getting the projector into the slot. Its almost impossible. Its so hard to see whats going on, but just wondered if anyone else had a problem like this and what might be done about it. Thanks, Jim:confused24:

The holes in the ears that hang down just beneath the frame. Just behind the oil plug and in front of the little shelf that the smog canister, for the California models, gets bolted to. The ones that the pin, that holds Carbon One's Lift adapter adapter to the bike, goes through. Anyone know what they were originally designed for. One of mine has a plug clipped into it to fill the hole so I wondered if they were actually designed for some purpose or if they may have been used at the factory and that's it. Inquiring minds want to know.
