In early April, on a bike???? I've made a few memories from following up on some old country and truck driving tunes I used to hear when I was a kid. (and still love to hear, Satelite Radio rocks) I plan on going to Luckenbach, TX at the end of March, heading back through NM, and maybe visiting an old friend that moved to Colorado Springs a few years ago. I see Wolf Creek Pass is in the neighborhood, so I thought I'd see if that top load of chickens were still laying next to that tunnel. But I don't want to bash my MRSV into the side of the feed store in downtown Pagosa Springs. So, how are the road around there in early April? Later, Scooter Bob

Got home today and Wolfie came out and told me her wolf got bit by a rattle snake. My response was bs we have been setting record lows for the last 2 weeks it was 8 degrees this morning. She says come here and sure enough snake pieces scattered around the yard she shot it twice with a 20 gauge shot gun. She saw it bite her wolf above his eye and later we discovered our 18+ year old lab got bit on the snout as well. I can't believe a snake is out already.

I had a few minutes of slack time today so I thought I'd go over some invoices. Parked my butt at my desk and was sorting things out and I noticed a movement coming towards me on the desk top. Stop...look again.....yep.....spider.....big one. Weird looking. Nothing new really, get them all the time. But this one looked a bit different. So I parked coffee cup over it and got a container. Slipped a piece of paper under the cup and went to flip in into the plastic container. All Heck broke loose when I dropped it in. I thought the dang thing blew up. Well......it didn't. It was female Wolf spider with a full load of lil ones......over a hundered of them as close as I can tell. Quick lil devils. I catch Wolf spiders all the time. I keep them in a 20 gallon tank and feed them crickets. If you have ever had a spider problem in your home......catch a Wolf and keep it fed. Any other spider will vacate the location el pronto!! But since I know everybody LOVES spiders.....here are a few pics of the lil sweety. Oh...and that is an 8" container. So...it's not a lil spider. LOL! Remember to show your wife or girlfriend. Entertainment value. Yes it is.

Made a trip to "The Dragon" this past weekend and left there in awe. The dragon was "ok" but the surrounding roads were much better. We left at 7:00am for what should have been a 5-6 hour trip and 11 hours later we rolled into our motel parking lot. We did not want to go interstate so we traveled back roads through northeast Alabama and northern Georgia. I don't recall the road numbers but if you get a chance and are in no hurry get you a map and try to find Suches from Cartersville and travel through Wolf Pass over Blood Mountain ending up in Robbinsville, NC. You will travels roads the Dragon only dreams about. It is well worth the detour... Once you get there the Dragon/Cherohala loop is a must but be sure to add the Hell Bender to your "things to do list".
