Almost time to replace the front tire on my '83 and since I am hauling a leaning sidecar around, I am considering changing width to see about improved handling. Who's done what and with what result. Pro's and con's? thanks!

Already have orders for 17 patches. Last order was for 110 patches. They are Iron-on or Sew-on. Sizes are 3 1/2" 5 3/4" 7" 9" The 3/1/2" inch wide is great for a baseball hat size. If you want a very specific width side, they can be accommodiated. Just specify the width in inches. Sample pricing for a 7 inch patch is $10.00 including shipping. Smaller sizes will be a little less. Larger sizes will be a little more. Actual Pricing depends on the qty of orders. I will accept orders for a few more days. PayPal, Money Order or Personal Checks accepted. No Cash please. Place your order on this thread with your mailing address. Those who have previously order on the Thread "Venture Patches Has Arrived" do NOT need to order again. See Sample Attachment.

The Venture Patches Have Arrived. See Attachment. I'll get them out as soon as I can. Meanwhile I've already received requests for more orders so for those interested see attachment. They are super nice looking patches. The picture has all the sizes. 3 1/2" 5 3/4" 7" 9" The 3/1/2" inch wide is great for a baseball hat size. Plus if you want a very specific width side, they can be accommodiated. Just specify the width in inches. The prices will be a bit higher than specified in the other threads for I under estimated PalPal fees and postages fees plus the number in orders I'm guessing will be less in quantity but they will still be a great value.

Ok, my old HHH Wellington boots that I ride with are about worn out and leaking after about 12 years of rideing use. So. I recently purchaced a pair of " Ariat, Ironside H20 work boots " Which basicly look like Cowboy boots. However you can get them in Wide, and Double wide size. ( EE width ). !!!!! I stopped in at the Cabela's store in Olympia Wa. a few months ago to check them out. They did not carry the EE width in store , so I had to mail order them. However I was very inpressed with the Insoles, and the soft leather. 1/2 sizes , and EE up to size 12. So whats the big deal here ?? OK, if you happen to be one of those--- UN- lucky--- folks who needs EE OR EEE width Boots, you will understand how hard it is to find a comfortable " boot " that fits !!! I normaly buy size 10 1/2 EEE shoes when I can find them. In this case I ordered size 11 EE. They arrived UPS, and wa la, they fit !!! I have been wearing them for 8 hours at a time for break in and so far, they are fantastic. Very comfortable, and flexable. Also, they have a feature to allow better entry of the heal when putting them on. If you need a pair of boots, I highly reccomend finding a dealer, and checking out the Ariat Line of Boots. ( You can find them in Cabela's On Line store, price $179.95, not cheap, but I feel they are worth every penny !!!! ) I can honestly say that this is the first pair of " New Boots " that I put on and was able to wear and walk in comfortably the first day out of the box !!

Hi all - Read all the posts about the wheel chocks and most deal with Harbor Freight. Anyone hear of this one? Or use it? A bit pricey but apparently adjustable for width. http://steadymate.com/us/product/20/68/steadymate-motorcycle-wheel-chock.html

I did a search & didn't find any posts about this, so here goes. My Kumho rear tire experiment has been a failure for me, so I am going to replace my rear tire with an Avon Venom AM42. While doing that I am hoping to correct some speedometer error by putting an over-sized rear tire on. Has anyone used/tried a 170/80-15 tire on the rear of their RSV? My research is on an Avon Venom 170/80HB-15 tire. The only worry is the width which is 6.9" as compared to the 150/90 width of 6.3". The height of the replacement is only 1/2" higher. The 170/80 tire has a great load rating of 83H. That load rating is 1074 lbs.! If anyone has some info to share, please do. Thanks; johnB

My wife has nearly quit riding with me complaining of too much wind buffeting. She says that after an hour behind me with our OEM windshield she gets headaches. I'm only 5' 10" and she's 5' 6", so on the pillion her head is slightly above mine. What windshield do y'all recommend including height and width.

Looking for a 12" Yamaha w/s. It's 2" wider on each side, and I really like the width. I found a 12" Cee Bailey from one of our great members here, and am going to buy it if I can't find the Yamaha version. Anyone have one forsale? I'd take a 9" or a 12" if they have the extra width. Thanks in advance.
