I have to ship a 1st Gen MK1 hitch to a member. Anybody know the best way to do this ? wrap it up ? box it ? wire a tag to it and ship it as is ? It is such a weird shape. Just wondering if anybody has done this before ?

I got this weird rattling sound when I pull in the clutch lever on my Wing.... Listen carefully. Ya, I know, it's a "whiner" but mostly only noticable when idling and apparently fairly normal for a Wing. But that rattling sound doesn't seem "normal" to me. Can anyone guess what it is?

Looking at these 2 pictures it is really kind of weird how much Dano and me look alike. Look and decide

I've been trying to get on Craigslist for a while today and I'm having no luck. Can't get on from my bookmark, a direct address, or any kind of link from this site or others. All my other bookmarks and addresses are working but anything to do with Craigslist is just a message that it is not available due to not being on Internet, website problems, etc, etc. Weird. Is it just me or anybody else having problems? Mike

I bought an expensive Metzler tire for my rear end. It has about 1500 miles on it. I noticed it has some weird wear on the ends of the tread patterns that are unique to this tire... Maybe it is a design flaw. I have run it with the reccommended 32 lbs the whole time.... Thanks!

Does anyone have a roar in their rear tire? I've had my 04 RSV for 2 weeks now, only 8K miles so they are the original tires. Maybe it's just me, but I think the roar is a little much for a motorcycle. No complaints at all, it just seems weird to me. Ben

Yesterday I had to ride 5 miles of uphill, washbaorded, winding dirt road - wasn't fun at all. I took most of it at about 5-10 mph. Has anyone had any problems with their bike (mine is an 83 Venture) handling weird after riding on similar roads? It feels very weird at speed on pavement now - like I'm riding on a road filled with grooves that my bike wants to track. I wonder if something was bent or something. I guess something could have become loose. Or maybe my tire pressure is just low (which doesn't make sense why the dirt road would result in low tire pressure). Any ideas and/or experiences? Thanks, Doug

I'm just venting here unless someone can give me some good advise! I have the Garmin 550 with the GXM-30 puck for my XM needs. Everything was fine until I took the bike to the car wash last Saturday. I never spray water directly on the unit but it does get wet. Now I get a message that says check your XM antenna and I get nothing. The weird thing is when I start the bike after a long downtime XM works. If I stop for gas and turn off the bike the XM antenna quits. If this keeps up, I'm getting on E-Bay for a replacement.

I found a part number for that weird rear turn signal bulb on the 2nd gen Venture, and, I suppose, the RSTD also. 7507 Also referred to as the BAU15s on this website: http://autolumination.com/1156_1157.htm You can see these bulbs down near the bottom of the page. They also have LED replacements, if you want to actually DO that. I got the impression during my searches that this bulb is used in some European cars, like the BMW and the Porsche. How it ended up in our bikes is anybodys guess, maybe the Japanese designers got a helluva deal on the bulbs and sockets. Someone somewhere has asked if there were any bulb numbers for this bike, and this was the only one I didnt have till now. Hope this is of some use.

I'm taking the beginning motorcycle safety course put on by ABATE of Indiana. I must say that it's a fantastic program. Yea, I know most of this stuff but it's a great reinforcement for your rider skills. BTW, it's a full, three day course. The weird part is you have to do the skills testing on a Suzuki 125. After a day of this the Venture feels like the Titantic! I think I'll enroll for the advanced course next.
