Highway 1 "Shoreline Drive" is just an incredible road. It has everything you could want in a road. Curves with Cliffside vistas of the Pacific Ocean. Little to no traffic (occasional yellow line drifters so watch out). Small, rustic towns to visit and eat lunch. The best way to ride it, is from the North so you are next to the water. You can take side trips through the Red Wood forests. Absolutely amazing views so take several days to absorb this world class road.

Last year a member asked me to help fix his bike, turned out that water had got into the motor and it was ceased. He picked it up and has it parked since then under cover. It's been a few years since it has been used. He wants to donate it to somebody deserving. Let me know if you're interested. It's in Georgetown Ontario

Anyone try this yet? http://www.shoplet.com/RealTree-RT17MLAF-AntiFog-Cleaning-Kit-17mL/KLCRT17MLAF/spdv?ci_src=17588969&ci_sku=KLCRT17MLAF&ci_gpa={adtype}&ci_kw={keyword}&gclid=CK6mhaGliMMCFQwaaQodvAoA_Q&rtop=1 I picked up some at Walmart for $6 something for the inside of my full face visor. It also says it repels water and dust?

Two old guys were playing golf when they came to a hole with water along the side of the course. One guy hits his ball near the water and both guys go over to look for the ball. They get near the water and there is a frog sitting on the bank of the pond. As the golfers approach the frog they hear him say, hey buddy come here. They both walk over. The frog says hey buddy pick me up and give me a kiss and I will grant you all the sex you want for the rest of your life. Old guy reaches down and picks up the frog and puts him in his pocket. His golfing buddy says didn't you hear what that frog said. Give him a kiss and you can have all the sex you want. Old guy says at this point in my life I believe I would rather have me a talking frog.

The outside controller for the water and ice has a small round door that opens so the ice can slide down from the ice maker through the round door into the glass. For no reason both the water and ice stopped dispensing and this small round door keeps opening and then after the small round door opens fully the spring then shuts the door quickly. This cycle occurs every about every 7 seconds give or take a second. Several lights on the controller door keeps flashing. The water dispenser was flowing water very fast to the filter today so it is not pluged. I have pretty much dismantled the the controller door, looking at the small mother board and the motor unit to the ice dispenser. This where I could use some suggestions please.

I have not seen any threads on this so I will ask. I have an 88 yvr that has water leaking into the trunk every time it rains. I cannot find where it is coming in. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so , how do I stop it? Thanks so much for any and all help I can get on this problem.

I'm getting nervous because of the amount of force I'm having to use to get the water pump off so I thought I should stop and ask someone.. I've taken 5 bolts out of the cover I've taken 4 remaining bolts out of the housing.. Does the housing just pry off now?? And I should expect the impeller to come off with the housing? I don't have to somehow remove the impeller first do I? My housing isn't budging. I see that I've got the plastic impeller so thats gotta go, along with replacing the mechanical seal and what not.

Started the morning with one of my horses standing out in the yard at 4:30 this morning so get dressed and put her in with the others, and its below zero outside so I am wide awake now so much for sleeping in. Then no cold water got that going and the drain pluged up got the plunger give it a couple of good plunges the pipe came apart coffee grounds and water all over the floor, had to talk with Sharon about the coffee grounds, Then I got to chat with a couple of good friends and now I have a big pot of Venison stew cooking away on the wood stove and does it ever smell good. Starting to feel like the start of a good year. Happy New Year Orlin

It has been said here that there is no way to drain the 2nd gen water pump with any normal tools without removing or at least loosening the exhaust. I found out otherwise. I REALLY hate disturbing a new, leak-free exhaust system. Even more than I hate vise-grips and cheapo Chinese sockets. With these common items I was able to remove the waterpump drain plug easily. Happy wrenching.

I noticed coolant coming from the weep tube on the water pump after a short ride yesterday. I've searched the forums but have not found much on second gen water pumps. 1. Is there a new/rebuilt water pump available. 2. If not one, what parts should I order to complete the job. 3. Are there any special tools required or gotcha's I shold be aware of in taking on this task. I recently had to change my radio controller and found the best price for a new one at Babbits online. I am open to suggestions, recommendations and any other help anyone can provide.

Watch this, you will smile, I promise. It is actually an HP Printer & Evian Water commercial. But, there are only a few seconds which actually bring attention to the HP printer & Evian water. The bulk of the commercial is purely entertainment. And, it is amazing! I don't know how they do this kind of stuff, but it is flawless. It is so perfectly done that I could not find one thing that would make you think it wasn't real if you didn't know any better. Cool! Click "Great Commercial" below………. Great commercial

Just had a purdy young lady come to the door looking for donations to help maintain the swimming pool at our local elementary school...... She said it would help keep the tax levy down. So I gave her a bottle of water.

I added some coolant to the small tank it was empty the radator is full and over night the small tank was empty, and the oil level was up. I changed the oil refilled the small tank to the full mark took it for a ride and it was pushing the coolant back into the small tank to where it would over flow. There is no white smoke from the exsust and it runs fine. I am hopeing that this wasnt the reason for the PO to trade it off. I Talked with the PO and he told me that he had just put a new thermotat and cap on the radiator. There is no coolant on the floor. Am I looking at a blown head gasket or could the water pump be leaking on the inside or the cylinder water jacket joint. Orlin

I have a generator which runs on LP or NG. Can it be used on raw wellhead gas like we have run into the house for cooking and heat. We are filtering the water at the pipeline tap but still the gas has some water vapor. Is anybody doing or done this? Is it possible or should I stick with LP for the generator? The well is located on my property so we are the first customer and free gas.

So I have gone thru and cleaned out all the carbs on my 83. Disabled the YICS system. Still not running right. If i turn the choke on going down the road it runs okay, if i shut it off it runs like crap. two of the cylinders are getting hot the other two are not. if i spray water on the exhaust on the two it burns right off the other two thee water just sits there. the plug cap and wires are brand new as well as brand new ngk plugs. where is my problem. is it just a matter of tune and sync or what?

It is VERY Hot around HERE in Missouri IT'S SO HOT ..... REALLY - HOW HOT IS IT ??? .....the birds have to use potholders to pull the worms out of the ground. .....the trees are whistling for the dogs. .....the best parking place is determined by shade instead of distance .....hot water comes from both taps. .....you can make sun tea instantly. .....you learn that a seat belt buckle makes a pretty good branding iron. .....the temperature drops below 90 F and you feel a little chilly. .....you discover that in July it only takes two fingers to steer your car. .....you discover that you can get sunburned through your car window. .....you actually burn your hand opening the car door. .....you break into a sweat the instant you step outside at 7:30 A.M. .....your biggest motorcycle wreck fear is, "What if I get knocked out and end up lying on the pavement and cook to death"? .....you realize that asphalt has a liquid stage. .....the potatoes cook underground, so all you have to do is pull one out and add butter. .....the cows are giving evaporated milk. .....farmers are feeding their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying boiled eggs. IT'S SO DRY that the Baptists are starting to baptize by sprinkling, the Methodists are using wet-wipes, the Presbyterians are giving rain checks, and the Catholics are praying for the wine to turn back into water!

Ya Hoo, I got my Venture back Monday with the new factory installed Hannigan kit. I thought it would be a piece of cake to drive it. WRONG!!! Across the highway from their store, Nishna Valley Cycle, in Atlantic Iowa, was a short street with a culdesac at the far end. Rob & Dennis had me practice driving the Trike on this street, before I left for home. The first thing I did after starting the engine was to crank the handlebars too far to the left. Man, I thought I'd lost it right there and then put my foot down immediately. They just laughed. They got me lined up, I went across the highway, up the street to the culdesac and then that new experience came into play to get around that circle. Wow! Talk about something wierd. Well, I made it back to their parking lot okay. But, then they had to help turn me around because they wanted me to do it again. This time it felt a little better. Anyway, I made the successful 50 mile trip back home, being nervous and excited at the same time, with the wife following me in the car. Learning to water ski with my new boat, years ago, was another one of the hardest things also that I had ever tried, even though all my friends had no problem. But this Trike ride was scarrier! We did stop at a Dairy Queen in a small town in route and relaxed with an ice cream. This is a wonderful Trike and they did a beautiful job and I'm very proud of it. I'm gettingl it mastered already! A very fine product. Owen.

Brenda Yohman Frick, I'll mention that to him. Problem is when it's cold, runs like a beast. However when it warms up he loses power and can't get over 50 in 4th. I'm thinking Fuel filter? or maybe water in the tank? (seafoam)

Since I'm getting ready to ride to Montana in a couple of weeks I thought I needed a cheap video camera to mount on the handlebars. I tried my compact camera and didn't like that so I shopped around for a FLIP type camera. I bought an inexpensive Kodak Playsport camera for about $80. It turns out it is no better on the handlebars. Too much vibration in the bars to make a good video. So I'll probably abandon that idea and just let Valerie shoot over my shoulder as we go across Beartooth and Going to the Sun. However, I had some fun with the camera tonight anyway. The Playsport is water proof to 3 meters. And, since our dog is crazy about the water I thought I would see what I could shoot. Here is a link to a simple video I put together of the dog in the water tonight. www.traynorphoto.com/timbersplash.wmv It's worth 80 bucks just to play with around the pool. Enjoy. Dennis

I parked my bike at work today and when I got back my bike was all spotted up. It look like the sprinkler system came on and watered my bike along with the grass. I now have what looks to be hard water spots all over my bike. I got home and tried to clean them off with some quick shine stuff but not working very well. Question what would be the best way to remove all these spots? Wash bike with soap and water then dry and use chrome polish and wax to detail it? Any suggestion's? Joe

Just in case you are having a rough day, here's a stress management technique recommended in all the latest psychological journals. The funny thing is that it really does work and will make you smile: 1. Picture yourself lying on your belly on a warm rock that hangs out over a crystal clear stream. 2. Picture yourself with both your hands dangling in the cool running water. 3. Birds are sweetly singing in the cool mountain air. 4. No one knows your secret place. 5. You are in total seclusion from that hectic place called the world. 6. The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall fills the air with a cascade of serenity. 7. The water is so clear that you can easily make out the face of the Politician you're holding underwater. There!! See? It really does work. You're smiling already.

Just read through threads about flushing my radiator. What I couldn't find was any answers on if you can use a radiator flush cleaner first before refilling. I have seen where water is used to flush several times before filling with a coolant for aluminum engines. What about a cleaning type radiator flush ?

OK it is looking like I will get wet wet wet on the way to MD. I have never ridden more than a few miles in town in the rain. On this trip I will be pulling a trailer, also something new for me. I did get new tires last week. Unfortunately I was only able to get about 80 miles on them to get them scuffed in. They still have the nubbies on them. I will have a supply of Ziploc bags for the GPS. I will be wearing my Gortex Blaze orange hunting gear. So I should stay warm and fairly dry. Other than the obvious like slow down, keep longer distance for stopping, what are some things I should do and or watch for? They are talking up to 3/4 inch of rain with possible ponding. What is the the best thing to do if you come over a hill and find standing water on the road? I wear glasses, How do you keep them clear? How do I keep the helmet visor clear? The wind screen sheds water pretty good at speed, but blocks the wind from blowing water off the visor. What else do I need to know? Some jerk at the weather service did not read the rules about no rain for MD....
