Order a set of brake pads on Tuesday. When I placed the order it said they were "Available." Having had great luck with them in the past, I expected them to ship out within 24 hours. Now 48 hours later, they still have not shipped. I call customer service and was told that "Available" means that they can get it from the manufacturer NOT that it is in stock at the warehouse. Add to that, the Louisville warehouse is no more than 2 miles out of my way when going to work. They have an outlet store there but no longer allow Will Call, so I am paying $6.99 for them to ship 30 miles to my house. I will admit that even with shipping, the pads are $5 cheaper than the local Yama Dealer, but for $5, I could have had the new brakes on 2 days ago. Just venting.

Battery on my 03 decided it was going on permanent disability, so I went in search of a new Deka ETX20L AGM battery. This is generally accepted as the one at the top of the heap as far as batteries for the 1800 are concerned. American made, maintenance free AGM, high CCA, one year warranty. Wanted to let you all know that I found what appears to be the best price at Tri-State Battery Warehouse online. It is $77.95 including shipping. Ordered first thing this morning, already have confirmation of the order, I'll let you know how fast they ship. http://www.tristatebattery.com/product_info.php?products_id=981 Joe

Hey All, TIRE CRACKS-ANYONE ELSE? I am just starting the riding season for 09. Checked the Avon Tires, and like last year, Weather Cracks all around the Rear Tire. Last year, it was weather cracks on both tires. I am Really Concerned considering that these New Tires were just made (not sitting in the warehouse) and shipped to the Bubbas for installation at this time last year. I just wrote Avon and waiting for a response. Bubbas in Linwood Michigan took Great Care of me last year with this problem, and after Avon verified the tire tread depth was way within the ratio, Avon admitted it was their fault, and paid for New Tires and Installation, but Blamed the Cracks on Tires sitting around to long in the Warehouse. The front and rear tires on my RSV now have a tremendous amount of tread left, almost like brand new. These Avons ware great. But, as much as I like these Avons, I am unsure if I should put another set back on. Everyone Please Check your Tires. Later-
