Back in april I posted about a friend of mine who went down and was in a coma, [ame=http://venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=34735]another biker down - VentureRider.Org[/ame] . Up until now progress has been very slow and not a lot to report, But the latest update now is that he is up for short spells and using a walker to get around. yesterday the nurse took him to use his walker outside for the first, The word is that despite lack of muscle tone he moves at a pretty good pace. His memory is slowly coming back but is still somewhat sketchy and at times he has no idea why he is being kept in the hospital.the wing he is in is part of an old assylm, which the hospital is using while they under go renovations, so sometimes he thinks he is in prison and can,t understand why. When his mind is currant he is as sarcastic and lippy as ever always toying with the nurses. The Doctors say so far his progress has far exceeded their expectations.

New Found Freedom I would say. Have a local guy that had been talking to me about motorcycles. He is a big guy over 6ft would say around 300lb. Just one Problem he has had left knee surgery more than once in the last two years. He currently has a brace on that leg walking with a walker. Had told him about some of you guys. How Yammer used a rope to shift before, about my voyager kit. Well he did it:clap2:, purchased himself a 02 red Honda (wife said the only way he could get a bike if it was RED) added a Voyager kit said he also tried the rope shifting but found it was tough. He just installed a Kliktronic electronic shifter. Had been riding with it for three days when he stopped and seen me. Man the smile on his face. So here are the pics. I know the rules. He really tried to get out of the pics But you know me. Here's to many happy years of riding Dave. By the way strips that walker right to the back of it using the voyager kit for a support. When there is the will there is a way

Wifey...AKA MOM...is doing very well. Had her up and cruising around outside yesterday with her walker...she hates that thing LOL. Wont be long and I will be struggling to keep up with her. She cant wait to ditch the walker and start walking normal. She has plans ...and tickets...to go see Lewis Black on the 21st of next month way out in Denver so we will see how that goes. But she is doing good....which makes me happy cuz she aint as grouchy! The rest of the pics from our trip are up. http://community.webshots.com/user/tateandmarlene/profile?vhost=community and click on the ALBUMS tab...might take a second or two to load...Look for the FLORIDA TRIP album...or cruise thru the others of ya like. Got some good pics of wifey and her walker but she told me if I post 'em Im a dead man LOL
