Two of us are planning a trip from Seattle to Waco (actually Gatesville) the first of May. It looks like we have a lot of choices of routes. My current thinking is I-84 to Twin Falls Idaho then south on US-93 all the way to Bolder Dam and Kingman. Then west on I-40 to Santa Rosa NM where we can pick up US-84 which will take us the rest of the way. I have never traveled US-93 before. Does anyone know how the weather is this time of year? Especially in north eastern Nevada? I hear it is pretty desolate. Are there any sights to see along this route? Thanks Mike

Hey Folks, As many of you know right now Ponch's dad passed away Saturday morning somewhat unexpectedly. David and I have been talking daily and he very much appreciates all the prayers and good vibes you have been sending to he and his family. I am posting up the funeral details here for those that are interested. The viewing will be in Tuesday 6-15-10 from 6 to 8 pm @ The Waco Memorial Funeral Home http://www.wacomemorial.com/ addy is 7537 I35 S exit 328 Hewitt rd. David had mentioned the outpouring of support and that it's taken his mother aback to a certain extent. Flowers aren't necessary, but you folks will have to make your own decision on that. Dave Pankow and I will be heading up to Waco after work tomorrow and if there are any in the Houston crew that would like to tag along we'll have my wagon and will stuff it as full as we can. Hope to see some of our members there, please keep David and his family in your thoughts, Davids fathers name was James Weldon Warren.

I am going to Rock Springs this weekend and all are invited to ride if your free. I will be leaving Athens about 7 am traveling Hwy 31 to Waco. I will be in Corsicana about 740 and Waco about 900. I will be meeting my brother Rick "Goose" at the Cracker Barrel on IH 35 and the north loop. KSU at 1000 for the ride to Rock Springs. We will be doing back roads and taking our time and enjoying the wind in our face. Saturday we will ride the Three Sisters and anywhere else we want to go and Sunday we will head back home. If you want to go make sure and let me know so we don't leave anyone. I can also give you Hotel info if you need it. Right now I think we have four bikes ready to go but all are welcome. I am taking cards and dominoes. This is not a guys only trip. I know at least two couples will be riding two up. The New Mexico and Colorado Trip for July is still on and more details will be sent out soon. This will be the first road trip for the new Motor.
