I voted, and what a zoo. I got to the poles at 6:58 and was already #13 in line. I have been voting at the same location for the last 30 years and have never missed any vote. In the last 30 years I have never been higher than #5, the #5 was because I was a couple of minutes late one year. By the time I finished with my ballot there were about 30 people in line waiting to vote. I've never seen a line in 30 years. I pass 2 other polling places on the way in to work and they both had a lot of cars in the parking lot, One of the places the lot was full and cars parked both sides of the street for 2 blocks in each direction. If what I saw in the first half hour is any indication, the estimate of 50% turnout may be way low. There are some hot button issues here in WI. Get out there and vote. If you are in Chicago, Vote early and often......

OK folks. The design, color, etc. is pretty much finalized. The poll has been simplified. Please take the time to vote as it is important that I get a good estimate on the number of shirts that will be ordered. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=45433

Don't know if this is the correct place for this or the right way to mention this. Another member said that he liked my signature and that got me thinking about it. I thought that maybe a signature for our sight on the welcome page would be a good idea. Something that speaks for the way we feel about riding or what ever that catches the eye of members and perspective members. Maybe we could have a number of suggestions and then have a vote to chose the one members feel is the best or most appealing. I am willing to give mine up if it were to be chosen. What do the rest of you think?

WE NEED THIS INFORMATION PASSED ON TO EVERY RED-BLOODEDAMERICAN!!!!!! 33 Senators Voted Against English as America 'sOfficial Language June 6, 2007On Wed, 6 Jun 2007 23:35:23 -0500,"ColonelHarry Riley USA ret" wrote: Senators, Your vote against an amendment to theImmigration Bill, 1348, to make English America's offical language isastounding. I don't much care where you come from, what yourreligion is, whether you're black, white or some other color, male orfemale, democrat, republican or independent, but I do care when you're aUnited States Senator, representing citizens of America and vote againstEnglish as the official language of the United States Your vote reflects betrayal, politicalsurrender, violates your pledge of allegiance, dishonors historicalprinciple, rejects patriotism, borders on traitorous action and, in myopinion makes you unfit to serve as a United StatesSenator...impeachment, recall, or other appropriate action is warrented. Worse, four of you voting against English asAmerica 'sofficial language are presidential candidates: Senator Biden,Senator Clinton, Senator Dodd, and Senator Obama. Four Senators vying to lead America but won't ordon't have the courage to cast a vote in favor of English as America'sofficial language when 91% of American citizens want English officiallydesignated as our language.
