Almost 2:00 am in El Paso. The little church mice are starting to scurry. In an hour we will be leaving El Paso...225 riders...all headed north to Nelson, B.C. The first checkpoint is in Buena Vista, CO. Then over top Leadville, CO., at over 11,000 ft. Going to be a great day.

I'm running VISTA Home 64 bit. I have both 32 bit and 64 bit IE version 9 installed The computer did an automatic upgrade of Flash player even though it says it is not compatable with Vista 64 bit. I've tried (several times) to download a different version but it always seems to default to version 11. Any suggestions? I can't view a lot of YouTube stuff because it needs Flash.

I'm going to replace my laptop and it looks like it'll be Vista or windows 7 OS. My problem is that I HAVE to install Front Page 2003 on it to run a program. I can't seem to confirm that Front Page 2003 will run in Vista, been running on XP Pro

I hope I can adequately state my question...I am running MS Vista on a Toshiba laptop. When I click on my internet connection and then the "view status" area; it reflects a fairly rapidly increasing number for "bytes received"...is this normal? Periodically my computer runs quite slowly...I'm on Hughes.net satellite which I've figured might be the reason for such slowness. I have run two different virus checkers against my computer, to no avail...appreciate any input you may have.

"a real Venture" ... thought I'd include that just to make it "legal" for the site LOL anyhoo... playing with Linux distro's again... currently typing this from within Firefox on a Ubuntu Linux OS. One real interesting thing is that even the current Linux OS recognizes my HP Scanjet 4100c where Windows Vista won't ... go figure eh? ... ole Microsoft POS Just wondering what some of you others are running for Linux disto's (RedHat, Fedora, Suse...??)

Does anyone here know of a Yamaha model called a "Vista"? I have seen on eBay a listing for a "1983 yamaha vista royal back rest", item number is 320435513668. I am wondering if this may fit a 1984 Venture? The back rest appears very similar to others I have seen listed for the First Gens. It is listed at an inexpensive price and I do not know if it will fit or not. I don't want to bid if it won't work. Also, How do others partners find sitting behind a driver's back rest. Is there enough room? Thanks. Dave

I know several of you have the Go Pro cameras. I just got one and when I play back the videos there's no sound. I have Winders Vister (that's East TN. for Windows Vista). Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? TIA Jim

Always practice what you preach. Phoenix man killed in gun-safety demo Arizona Daily Star Tucson, Arizona | Published: 05.18.2009 A 26-year-old Phoenix man accidentally killed himself early Sunday while explaining gun safety to two Sierra Vista residents. Samuel Benally Jr. was at an apartment on West Tacoma Street when he said guns should be kept unloaded because people could point them at their heads, said Sierra Vista police Sgt. Brett Mitchell. Benally then demonstrated by putting his own 9mm Ruger, which he believed to be unloaded, to his head and firing it, Mitchell said. Benally was flown to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Mitchell said. An investigation is ongoing, but police do not believe alcohol or drugs were involved, Mitchell said. OK....I posted long ago about a GREAT image resizer "powertool" that is the best and easiest I've ever used for quick resizing of images to post them here and in the pic gallery. Unfortunately, Microsoft did not release this tool for Windows Vista. So, I went searching for something for you Vista users and found the following program that supposedly works the same way. Now I haven't tested this because I don't use Vista but some of you who do might want to give it a try and report back. Note: I removed the original link to this program because I am now getting an "attack site" warning from there. Here is another that I found though that works exactly the same as the XP version of the image resizer. http://sourceforge.net/projects/phototoysclone/

I got a new computer a month or so ago and it was loaded with Windows Vista. I was upgrading from windows 98, or so I thought. First of all I'm not the brightest bulb on the tree when it comes to computers I often find myself going to my 15 year old for help. Anyhow this system is twice a slow as w/98 was. It as problems ripping and burning cd's (sometimes it will and sometimes it won't) it's like it has its own taste of music. Sometimes it takes over 10 minutes just to start up. And after start up if you click on a certain area it may take another 10 minutes tp open a page. Is anyone else running this system with these problems, or does anyone know how to fix the issuesor it normal?
