My Dad and I took a ride up to Barber's Motorsports Park yesterday. It is a quick 120 mile trip for us. We've been to the museum before but not to the Vintage Bike Races. There were some real cool bike there. You have to love the atmosphere of that place. When we were looking for a place to park our bikes, an attendant told us we could park in the circle in front of the museum. He told us to park and go where we wanted. He said we cater to motorcycles here. Great people there. If you have never been to the museum, I strongly recommend you go. It is amazing how far motorcycles have come along throughout the years. The Vintage Bike Races were great. Dad has a '65 BSA 650 Lightning that he hasn't started in almost 30 years. Now we are thinking about restoring it. One fun part of the day is we stopped at the Rider's Harley and I had my Yamaha gear on. Sometimes my Dad doesn't claim me. He had to buy a couple of parts for his Road Glide. The Harley place was nice to me and said they would even take my bike on trade. Told them mine was paid for and I was going to keep it for a while

ust curious, I have been collecting and and reselling vintage stereo equipment for about 3 or 4 years now. It is a addictive hobby if you enjoy music in a full and more spacial format than a set of hearbuds and MP3 compressed format. I have worked my way up to a system now that I could only dream of earlier in life. I think I may have my ultimate system in the works. I just picked up a pair of McIntosh MC-30 tube amps. Can't wait to hear them up and singing. My current main system consists of, Klipsch Forte II & Klipsch LaScalla speakers Yamaha C4 preamp & Yamaha M4 amp Empire 598 Turntable Pioneer 707 Reel to Reel Rotel 855 CD If you share this little addiction let me know what you have for a setup. http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/sys1.jpg

I'm hoping that some of you older guys in here might be able to help me ID an old Polaris Star engine I have hiding in my shed. I'm trying to figure out what size it is and what year. The ID tag has been cleaned of all the important information except for some numbers that are stamped into it. I remember riding a few of the old Polaris sleds that had these engines in them when I was a kid. I want to put it into the go-cart I used to drive when I was a kid and get it back up and running for old times sake. I haven't driven it since I crashed it doing about 60mph when I was about 15. That was 24 years ago. I'm gonna have to chop off the roll bars and weld on some new ones and stuff. Anyway, I've attached some pics to help with the ID. Maybe someone knows where I can find some good info on vintage sleds and such that will help? Thanks, Bill

Some older vintage vehicles had a vacuum guage. What was the purpose of that? Any merit to having a vacuum guage on the scoot?

I am frustrated with the seating on my 05 RSTD that I am considering an after market with a drivers back rest. I'm 6' 2" with and inseam of 33. I've read that these mustangs push you forward and up a bit. My handlebars almost touch my knees on a turn but I'm supposing I can uplift the handlebars an inch or so. Any experince with Mustang vintage wide with a driver backrest Thanks in advance Nevada Max

Anyone using these Vintage Fenders?? I'm thinking of going with these and would like some imput... I'm going for a retro kinda look but am concerned about using fiberglass fenders... http://www.tejasthumpcycles.com/metricbikes/metriccruiser/parts/fenders/suzuki_vintage_fenders.jpg AD Copy: Vintage Yamaha fenders are styled to complement the look of vintage automobiles. Their long, flowing shape and “V” detail bodylines create a nostalgic, classic motorcycle that people will drool over and beg the question, “What year was this made?” Vintage Yamaha fenders are a direct replacement for stock.
