Here is the Honda Website you can go to and enter your VIN to see if the recall specifically affects your wing https://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/SEO/MotorcycleRecall.asp?recallStatus=NO+VIN&recallId1=NO+RECALL+IDS

My new used '07 RSV has been home now for a couple of weeks. It has just about the exact same goodies that I would add if I had the $ to buy and equip new. Passing lamps and light bar, nice chrome radiator grill cover, saddle bag guard rails, and travel trunk rack. 18,500 miles on it, got it for $10,800. I got it from a big Honda dealer here in Indianapolis, and they also have a Yamaha dealership. The sales guy said he thought they might have gotten it from a Harley dealership. I asked if there was any way to find the previous owner, maybe through the VIN. Was told no way. I am curious if any of you have ever been able to do some detective work and find any info. like this. It would be nice to find out about maintenance, warranty repairs etc. I thought of carfax, but I don't think their reports include prior owners.

Hello everyone ! I bought my bike used afew years back a RSV 2006 and it came with only one key with no key tag number. How do I go about getting a spare key either from my local dealer or a lock smith? Do I need VIN number or just my only key to get a second one made? Thanks for your input................ Mark

The 'great' state of California needs a secondary 'Federal VIN' tag for registration. I'm at a loss as to where it's located. They know about the stamp on the steering head but, they also want a federal sticker....anybody know it's whereabouts? They won't register the bike without it.

Anybody here know anything about Indian motorcycles? I've found an old one that needs a LOT of work. It's a small one, probably manufactured by Royal Enfield and badged for Indian. He's not sure what size it is. He said maybe 350cc but I'm thinking maybe 500cc. I haven't seen it in person, only these very bad photos. The vin number is vin#e11512147 1e513 Not sure if the last part of that number is actually part of the vin or not. Year model is 1956

I've always been a bit confused as to how to figure out the model year from the 1stGens VIN number. I've read all about it, but it didn't make sense. For all those that are in the dark like me, here it is. The last 6 digits are the serial number. The 2 letters before them designate the year. Actually you could drop the 'A' and still be in the know.... DA= 83 EA= 84 FA= 85 GA= 86 HA= 87 I.... skipped. Looks too much like a one JA= 88 KA= 89 LA= 90 MA= 91 NA= 92 O.... skipped. Looks too much like a zero PA= 93

Hi all this is the first time I am posting i just have one little question yesterday i took position of a 1983 Venture i know that it would be first gen. I was told before I got this machine that it was the 2nd one off the line the last 4 of the Vin is 0101. thta would indicate that it may be the first. Is their any way to find out. It only has 38.8K miles and I would be the 3rd owner. It runs good just needs a little TLC Thanks
