Passed a MkII on Dallas Road on Thursday. Couldn't see very well due to the blinding sun. Looked like it might have been Kevin in Victoria. Not too many MC's wave at scooters.

This was posted on you tube a few days ago and I hear the RCMP In the Victoria BC are looking for clues so they can hang this sportsbike rider out to dry for a while. This guy is a complete idiot and makes all of us riders look bad. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIUTXIsJz3o]victoria highway run 299km - YouTube[/ame] Brian

Ok, I take the blame... I was bragging about how we don't get snow and cold in Victoria BC. Well, got one foot of snow at my house last night and it is freezing cold {for Victoria} ... hard on the flowers! I am sorry I bragged.....

Any members near there? We are thinking a winter honeymoon there, and not coming back if we like it. We have a toy-hauler we would live in till get the feel of the area and find work. Just looking to talk with people to get a feel if it is like we think it is. I drove through there on the bike at easter 2 years ago on the way to an easter mission in Mexico but I just bypassed around. For those that don't know, Kitty's real name is Victoria.

This Saturday, HD is bringing their Test Our Metal tour to the base here in Victoria, for the CF members and their families. I may never buy one, but I'm signing up to test ride a couple. I'm sure glad this happens a couple of days before I have to sail again. This will be my last trip before Christmas and I have a feeling it may be the last ride of the season also. It gets a little frosty outside of Victoria. Cheers

Great day today. A bunch of us went over to Victoria for the first " Do it for Dad" ride. They were expecting about 250 bikes and they got over 500. Police closed off the roads and gave us an escort through the town for the parade then we had a poker run over the hat to Duncan where lunch was served and then back to Victoria. I picked up two pair but that wasn't good enough to win any prizes. That's $ 12,500.00 raised plus the pledges. Saw my oncologist ( cancer doctor) there on his bike. Good weather all the way. All in all a very good day. Met a nice couple who just picked up a midnight venture second gen from Oregon. Told them about this site. Saw one first gen there.

Alright, I finally have enough information to make it worth posting. The location of the 2008 is Bingeman Park, Kitchener, Ontario, Canada and can be seen on the web at http://www.bingemans.com. Phone is (519) 744-1002 or (800) 565-4631. There are campsites, trailer/camper sites and cabins which sleep up to four people. The tent sites can accomodate up to 6 people per site and are $31.00 - $37.50/site depending on whether or not you want electrical hookup, no matter how many people up to six. The cabins are $65.00 per night up to four people, bring your own bedding. When you book with them, make sure you tell them that you are there attending the 2008 International VentureRider Rally as we have blocked off a certain section of sites and cabins so we can be together. Below is information on local motels, most are very close (within 5 minutes) of Bingemans. There are more expensive fancier motels is anyone wants that, contact me and I'll give you that info.
