For those of you who were looking for a solution to use the VRChat Room from your Iphones, Ipads, Androids, you can now do so at this link. The Iphone does not use flash so this is a html version of the room that then communicates with the Flash based chat room. I briefly tried it from my Iphone and it seems to work just fine. It is a streamlined version that does not have all the features available but does allow you to chat. Please give it a try. If it works OK, I will add a link to it in the menu bar. http://host718.123flashchat.com/venturerider/html-chat-login.html

I would like for those of you who use the chat rooms to give me an evaluation of the two solutions that I have installed at this time. The old one is pretty slick and has some nice features but doesn't work from all devices. The new one isn't as slick but seems to work just as well and is easier to get into and out of I think. It will be your call. If you choose the new one called "Shoutbox" at the top of the page then I will update it to the pro version. That won't make it any slicker looking but will add a few features such as allowing you to detach and run it in a separate window, turn the notification sounds on or off, things like that. Like I said, it is your call. From a money stand point, it's not a big deal. I would have to pay for the pro version of the new one but I also pay a yearly hosting fee separately for the old one so for the short term at least, it's pretty much a wash. So lets hear it. What do you want? The other option is that I could keep both but not upgrade the new one to the pro version. Just leave it as it is. I really don't think that we need two chat rooms though.

Anyone have any info on the remodel of the Venture for 2010. I have heard that they are gonna completely redesign it, no more cassette player and a toned down version of the new VMax engine....Waiting on info before I buy a new bike.

I'm running VISTA Home 64 bit. I have both 32 bit and 64 bit IE version 9 installed The computer did an automatic upgrade of Flash player even though it says it is not compatable with Vista 64 bit. I've tried (several times) to download a different version but it always seems to default to version 11. Any suggestions? I can't view a lot of YouTube stuff because it needs Flash.

I am trying to get Outlook 2010 trial version set up so I can transfer my old email & contacts to Thunderbird. I have outlook running, Windows 7 Pro version, Avast Internet virus software. I can get to the point where it is sending test mail, but then it just sits there. I have tried shutting down avast & explorer firewall, but no change. Screen shots attached below. Any suggestions? Is there ever any Maintenance Days in the Southern California Area? While I have been riding for many years, I am new to the RSV and am looking to learn. Also where can I find a book style manual for my 06 RSV? I have only been able to find a CD version and the books stop at 04. Any assistance with all of these questions would be greatly appreciated. I Haven't seen any other comments on this, but the late night talk shows wore out Christina and her version of the National Anthem. Jay's take and modified version was hilarious. I also checked some other shows and they also went off on her. RandyA

I'm considering buying a Zumo but that's a lot of loot and I really only half-understand what all this thing will do. I would appreciate some input from those who have them and have used them. Any input would be appreciated. Does the Zumo plug into the bike's existing sound system? If so, how does it connect? If so does it then play through the AUX function? I understand the Zumo is Bluetooth compatible. Is that correct? Can you receive calls through your helmet headset? From reading the various threads about the Zumo it sounds as though the newer version may be significantly improved over the 550. Any thoughts on that? As far as playing the MP3 music, do you load the Zumo from your computer at home or does it have a jack to plug an iPod into? Thanks in advance for any information you might have to share. FWIW, here are a couple of pics of the final version of my mirror mount mod: Billet Aluminium mirror mount http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/ad39/UxHamby/vehicles/bike3/7204bc1f.jpg?t=1276049880 Mirrors from Ebay http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/ad39/UxHamby/vehicles/bike3/79c1c8ab.jpg?t=1276050706 I think they look good and the new mirrors have worked out much better than my old OEM mirrors which just wouldn't stay put anymore. Hope this if of interest. Cheers, Brian H.

I am curious if anyone else has had a problem with their MP3 connection. I am trying to use mine and it works playing a radio station from my MP3, but my recorded music which is formated MP3 does not play. I am curious if it is an early version of MP3 on the bike or if I need to change the MP3 format of my downloads????? Thanks for any advice.

I realize this ain't bike related but I know some of you work in the corporate IT field and am hoping to get some guidance / feedback. As many of you know, I am the "network admin" at my company. We are running an out-dated version of Symantec Antivirus. It's a corporate version centrally managed on a server. While the software is out of date, I can still get updated virus definitions but I'm feeling a bit "insecure" about it. I'm wondering what ya'll are using in your corporate environment ... pro's/con's ... any info you can give me. I prefer not to again use Symantec or McAfee.

Just curious... Is there a "mobile" version of the forums? I have a Blackberry Curve that I use through work, and it has the full data package. I think it'd be cool to be able to post to the forums while on a road trip, without having to have a laptop along. I can pull up the site on the Blackberry, either through the proprietary browser, or Opera Mini, but gah does it look terrible. Of course it's due to the browsers trying to force it into a mobile format. Wasn't sure if there was a compatible mobile version of the site or not. Maybe just wishful thinking.
