Just a FYI..... I am in negotiations with a company in India which manufactures a universal mounting kit for sidecars. They have quoted a price of $150.00 per kit plus air freight. I am going to purchase a sample kit to see how well they are made. If anyone else is interested we could probably do a group purchase.

We are in Orlando with my daughter her hubby and two kids, yesterday we did Universal Islands of Adventure and today we are going to Wet N Wild, went there with daughter and her brother when they were kids, but this place is 10 times bigger now than it was in 1983. I didnt care too much for all the waiting at Universal, raining on and off, but we did leave before the monsoon hit. Looking forward to the water slides. Rain is forecast for every day, and so far it has..........and I did get my cycle therapy at Universal.

I was chatting with the venture owner Janne jurvelin and he had a pic of his Mk2 scoot with 2 projector bulbs where the original square oem headlight would go, i asked him about it and he directed me to this site that offers the projector light pods and universal mounting plates for what I thought was a pretty reasonable price. the result looks quite similar to Snaggletooth's hella light conversion, but I think it would end up a bit cheaper, and they supply the mounting plate, probably eliminating some fabrication work. high beam- http://www.louis.de/_20100191f9ec6203dfd4ca1147ce400239/index.php?topic=search&searchterm=10033667&cmd.x=9&cmd.y=4 low beam- http://www.louis.de/_20100191f9ec6203dfd4ca1147ce400239/index.php?topic=search&searchterm=10033666&cmd.x=3&cmd.y=7 universal mounting plate- http://www.louis.de/_20100191f9ec6203dfd4ca1147ce400239/index.php?topic=search&searchterm=10020904&cmd.x=7&cmd.y=10 I have never dealt with this company and havnt done this install I am just posting this info as most of us G1 owners are always looking for better ways to see the road. so please dont ask me how to do it as I havnt done it myself. brian [Janne Jurvelin info- Parts from www.louis.de Part no.10033667, 10033666 and 10020904. I have a 2003 rsv with 64k miles on it , there is a chirping noise coming from the area around the universal joint. I am wondering if anyone has serviced or replaced theirs, what is involved and how hard a job is it?

I have a Universal Large Print Atlas that I've had for a few years. 2001 edition. Usually carry it along on trips just because it is so easy to look at and I don't trust Amanda (Tom Tom). I've gotten this one pretty ragged. Newest one I can find from Universal is a 2002. Is there a newer one with big maps like this. Easy to read and you don't spend all day looking for things.

A congressman was seated next to a young girl on a recent flight. Hoping to endear himself to a future voter, he said to her, "Do you want to talk? Flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger." The little girl, who had just started to read her book, replied to the total stranger, "What would you like to talk about?" "Oh, I don't know," said the congressman. "How about global warming or universal health care or stimulus packages?" as he smiled smugly. "OK," she said. "Those could be interesting topics but let me ask you a question first. . . . A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff - grass. . . Yet, a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps. Why do you suppose that is?" The legislator, visibly surprised by the little girl's intelligence, thinks about it for a moment and says, "Hmmm, I have no idea." To which the little girl replies, "Do you really feel qualified to discuss global warming, universal health care, or the economy, when you don't know crap?" She went back to reading her book, and the congressman had nothing else to say the rest of the flight. (Gonna have to remember this one...!)

Anyone have a spare AM/FM antenna?
flb_78 posted a topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Mine felled off finally. Just looking for a replacement, not really wanting to invest in the Marshall Mod. I ghetto fabbed up a "universal" am/fm from VatoZone but it's way too short and looks kinda silly next to the CB antenna. -
I had seen a pair of these nice foot pegs with Yamaha on them on ebay. they went for a good bit of money. then late (early) one night while serfing, i logged into ebay & found a new in the wrapper set. it was buy now or make offer. i made an offer. low n behold they were in my mailbox 4 days later. man, was I excited. i got to install them tonight. Please take a look at the universal ones that were on my bike when purchased and the new Yammy ones. i am happy to say i have less than 38 bucks in them with shipping and they look so much nicer than the universal pegs. now if the rain will ease up, i can test ride them!! I ordered some tires from americanmototire.com and probably need to change the valves also. Are the valve stems universal? I want to use the 90 degree type.
