I just had a thought... I know..I know.. about putting together a list of features, or subtle differences, between all years of the 1stGens. Maybe a good idea...maybe not, but outside of colors which are listed in Venture History it might be fun to put together something. So I'll start, chime in if you can think of anything that first appeared in that year and I'll add it to the list. If I don't get any response I'll figure it was a bad idea and pick up my marbles and go away.... 1983 1. TCI is unique 2. vacuum advance comes off carb. 3. Dash is unique 4. Front brake and Gear shifter are adjustable 5. Hydralic anti-dive 1984 1. TCI changed 2. vacuum advance comes off manafold. 3. Choke set rotates in front of LH Grip 4. Cruise Control 5. Getting in touch with my creative side. I used Brand Thunder an add-on for Firefox and I assume IE to create, I think, a unique theme for our browsers. Give it a try. I think you guys with the 1st Gen's will like it.

My nephew Colin in Seattle is filming a documentary beginning later this month that looks really interesting. Here's the link to the project: http://coffeeracerproject.com/ He will be departing Seattle on or about June 18th, and will be riding through WA, OR, CA, NV, AZ, NM, CO, UT, WY, ID, and then back through to Seattle. I along with many other supporters will be monitoring his trip on-line as he rides through these states and meets and talks to hundreds of regular Americans about "exploring the notion of choosing between pursuing our dreams and being present in our realities. Do we have to? Can we keep the magic of adventure and discovery alive while simultaneously being productive and responsible? What is it to grow up?" I love the fact that he is pursuing his dream of making this film, and that he is doing it on a bike. OK, so it's a Kawi KLR650 and not an RSV. But it's still a bike! Anyway, he asked me if I could recommend any really unique highways and byways through these states that he should consider including on the 3 week trip route. So if you know of any, please let me know and I'll pass it on to him. (And if you want to be a part of this unique adventure and help him reach his goal so he can be fully funded, visit the above web site and feel free to help him out.) Thanks!

I was in Austin this week and saw an old Voyager (late 90's, maybe) with a chopped tinted windshield, no trunk, and with a flat black paint job. At first glance I wondered what it was. Didn't get to see it up close, just in traffic, but a unique looking bike. Most have to much bling, but in this case less was more. Sorry no pics.

Just spent the last five days and 1300 miles in the Boise Idaho area. Outside of Grandview we went to a place called the E-MUseum were they have a ton of old odds and ends. They had a couple of really unique bikes. One was a precurser to the Tote Goat and the owner had added a "sidecar" with a tractor seat (our friends the Jensens). The other was a trike. The motor is from 1907, the lower framework is an old metal bedframe and the front tire is from a bicycle. Had and great time!!!! http://i470.photobucket.com/albums/rr70/utadventure/Boise%20TRA%20Rally%202010/IMG_0894.jpg http://i470.photobucket.com/albums/rr70/utadventure/Boise%20TRA%20Rally%202010/IMG_0895.jpg

http://www.ridinon.com/archives/2009_02/2009_02_p16.jpgThis past Sunday we were riding in Indiana and met this unique motorcyclist with a very unique motorcycle. Here are photos. There are 67 silver dollars that all date back into the 1800's.I of course, did not bring my camera. I will try to get better photos when I see him again. He lives in Guilford, Indiana. http://www.ridinon.com/archives/2009_02/2009_02_c01.jpg

My husband and I were in Fayetteville, Ohio over the weekend. We saw this really nice Gold Wing Trike. There was a whole group of GW riders. We thought it was pretty unique.
