Just did my 1st carb sync with my Morgan Carbtune. WoW! When I first hooked up and did initial readings, 1&2 were slightly off, 3&4 were slightly off, and both were slightly off from each other. I first thought that this was a waste of time as all were fairly close to each other, but "what the Hey" I'd bought the Carbtune and might as well try. I tweaked and tweaked and tweaked, and then I balanced 1&2 to 3&4. Even the idle smoothed out. When I ran the bike the difference was obvious-even the rumble/backfire was considerably reduced (looks like next job is the AIS). The job went smoothly thanks to the great instructions from Freebird and Kbran. Isn't this forum great!!!

Dumped my RSTD back in August while riding through Glacier over very bumpy twisties. Landed in a mud puddle at about 30-35 mph. What a splash. Both of us were okay enough to finish the trip (4 days riding with 2 broken ribs). After getting her home and taking her down, I noticed this tweak. (plz see my What is Tweaked gallery) Is it A) Swingarm B) Frame C) My imagination D) None of the above Thanks for looking! PS Ibuprophen Rocks!

Borrowed a Carbtune from VR member Magnum and did a sync tonight. Once I figured out (read the post properly) that I had to do the initial sync-ing from the right side of the bike THEN the left side, it was a piece of cake. I did not have a tach, so I sync-ed the carbs all to 240mmHg. Bike was idling fine, but I tweaked it down a little to bring the carbs up to about 260mmHg. Thanks to Freebird and Kbran to the great posts in the Tech section. Bronson
