Yeeehaaaa!! First ride of the year!! Man did that feel great! PMS all gone (for a few days at least!) Brand new 130/90 front tire... what a difference!! Scoot handles so much better at low speed although it does tend to track a bit differently at highway speed. No more whine since the "I" basket went in ... just the bark of the RK's and some good tunes commin out of the XM is all I heard. yeeeeehhhhhaaaaaaaa! Snapped a shot parked at White Rock ... look at that calm water and blue sky! Luv It ! (am I pumped or what?)

I have a 2006 RSTD and have been thinking of adding a stereo of some kind,CD player,MP3, whatever and some speakers. However,I am kind of a freak in that I like to keep my bike as close to stock as possible so I am asking for people to tell me what they did to add some tunes to their RSTD...... Any suggestions are welcome. Also if it required me to beef up my battery or electrical that would be good to know too. I really dont care about GPS,CB,etc.Just some tunes on a long ride or some awesome rock on a short run........... Thanks everyone!!!

Hello to all; I just completed the antenna upgrade and all is fine. Took the scoot out on the road this morning and the tunes were coming in from areas I have not heard from in a long time. Got home and parked. Went back out to wash the bike and switched on the key to aux. too play some tunes and I had very little volume. Started up the bike to see if maybe it had something to do??? No avail, same result. At Vol 30, I can hear music very clearly out of all four speakers, but with very little volume. The volume control knob, when turned in the direction to decrease volume, does just that. It seems that the range of volume is happening between setting 1 ~ 3. I went through the settings to see if the fade was possibly affecting the output volume. I am unsure as to where to look next. Is there a mute button that I am not aware of?? Your help is always much appreciated. Thanks. Ricardo.

Just saw an ad for the handlebar mounted unit. The SO rides a wee strom and would occasionally like to tell me when I missed a turn. Has anyone got any experience with these units. Are they any good? I know they're pricey, but if it's any good, it looks like it would fit the bill. (Able to tell me what to do and listen to her tunes)

Bought one for less than $50 via Amazon.com Bought the 1/8" double-male connector cord from Radio Shack for less than $4 Down loaded tunes I wanted from I Tunes....for $1 a song. Set Audio System on bike to AUX. Clipped Ipod inside my jacket and plugged in connector from Ipod to the jack on the Cass Player. Great tunes....Great sound.....and I control the Volume from my Audio handlebar unit too. ***Freebird told me about the Ipod set-up.....I took it a step further by going with the Ipod Shuffle which does not need a tank holder due to the neat pocket clip that comes on the unit. Life is good............

I might have misunderstood or misread some stuff but I was under the impression the radio was suppose to cut off when we use the intercom. If the radio is on the speakers I can understand it why it may not cut off but when listening to tunes in the HeadSet, it is pretty hard to understand my passenger and vice versa. Is there a setting to get the radio to cut off when talking or is it something I have to live with? Thanks

I have this thing about Crusin through town, playin tunes. when i'm on the Highway i usually just listen to whatever i happen to have on the stero. But when i hit town i have this 30 minute tape of Duane Eddy's Rebel Rouser that i play, while riding through town. I crank it up so all the cagers and passer byes can hear. just my way of sayin i'm here, have a great day. Bob:322:
