Can anybody compare the aero stich over suit to the triumph, for wind & rain blocks? I have a triumph that does a great job on wind & rain but velcro is pulling loose in several places in less than a year. Thanks TC

http://www.motorcycleshows.com/atlanta-brands 3pm Friday Sat & Sun at the Cobb Galleria I was hoping it would start early Friday. I had plans for the weekend but would like to see someof the new bikes. STAR will be there as will Triumph and BMW. All with models I want to check out. Discounts on admission availoable via Progressive web site I imagine as well as Triumph. I will likely try to go early Saturday.

Early last spring, I joined the Gold Wing Road Riders Association since I had found myself hanging out and riding with the local chapter guys on a regular basis. We have a lot of fun and they don't care what you're riding as long as you're riding. Last month, while riding my '94 Triumph, an electrical problem stalled the bike (Can you believe it? An electrical problem on an English bike!!) and I had to pull over. As I couldn't diagnose the problem just then, I decided to use my new Honda roadside rescue service, included in my membership fee. I hadn't noticed when I joined up, but it turns out they will only take your bike to a repair shop ... they won't take it to your home! Now I know they have their reasons, but this put me in a difficult position. The nearest bike shop that I thought might even be willing to look at a Triumph (Independent shop - not a dealer) was 15 miles away while my house was about 6 miles away. The nearest Triumph dealer was 50 miles away. But, what was worse, it was nearly 8 at night which meant the shops were closed. I would have had to leave my bike parked in front of the store and in both cases, in an area that was, well, not exactly a high class area. Putting it bluntly, to have left the bike there would have meant about a 90% chance of severe vandalism or outright theft. And then, once the details would have come out, I wonder if the insurance company would have been willing to pay. Anyway, after talking with the rep and having him check with his supervisor, I gave up and called the C.A.A. (Canadian equivalent of the A.A.A.) since I have the "plus" membership. They were there in 20 minutes with a nice covered trailer with a low load floor, a wheel chock at the front and tie down straps. We were loaded up and ready to roll in 5 minutes and they took me straight home and helped me get the bike into my garage. So, I'm not knocking the Honda Rescue Service, as I'm sure they have good reasons for operating as they do, but if anyone is thinking of joining the club, remember this fact. You may still need another service in some cases. Then again, they may have heard of my little stunt at a local A&W bike night when a young guy asked me what the letters "GWRRA" on my crest, stood for. I said "Oh I'm with the Gold Wing Road Riders Association" then tipping my Yamaha cap, I added, "Brought to you by Yamaha." Did I mention the chapter president was in line directly in front of me when I said that? Andy

You can find a little British humor on the You Tube video of the manufacture of a Triumph Rocket III. I don't know how to post it on here to save you time but if you need a chuckle then check it out. Also shows some pretty good riding.

Was just poking around looking at pics of 2012 Rocket IIIs .... and boy those saddlebags look familiar ... seems I've seen the almost identical ones on 1999 - 2012 RSVs. ???? Could it be that Triumph is made of parts from other bikes?

I have had a desire for a lighter, agile bike for local riding. The 2011 America with it's under 900 cc engine feels great. It has forward controls and is very comfortable on the dealer floor. There is no way that I would ever delete my perfect 02 Midnight Venture. Has anyone had experience with the Triumph America?

My friend needs a part for his '03 Triumph America. It is the ICU P/N T1291100. The dealer can get it for $606. Anyone know where he could get it cheaper? Used is ok if it works. Thanks for any help. MIKE aka Uturn

I was at our local Timmie's this afternoon getting a coffee(I'm on midnites) and was chatting with a couple of guys, one with a Yammie Raider, the other a Harley something or other, when a Triumph T3 came rolling in. I was sitting on the curb..so I had a real good look at this monster. Folks say our Ventures are a big bike...but sitting there looking at that monster, visualizing a full fairing, lowers and rear trunk set me to thinking that this T3 is freakin' huge. Great looking ride, jet black, lots of factory chrome....nice ride! Low center of gravity according to the owner, and comfy. Sure is a big machine, I like it, but I like my V-4 just that much better. gunk:smile5:

For anyone in the North GA area, Moto 400 in Dawsonville will be having their annual Triumph Demo Rides next weekend. I personally love to test-ride bikes and the opportunities around here are frequent. This year, regrettably, there will obviously be no Buell rides at Two Wheels Only, but it won't be long before the KTM weekend comes up on the radar! http://www.moto400.com/ TERRY

Looking at one of these for my FJ Cruiser and just wondering if it might be made to work and fit in the cassette hole on a 2nd gen? Does the RSV have an ODB II port? I saw where they use these on the Triumph Rocket, I guess it has the ODB port, or maybe an interface cable could be made? http://www.scangauge.com/ http://www.scangauge.com/assets/graphics/IMG_2009_withdims.jpg

Yesterday I happened by the Triumph dealer in Mathews, NC and went in to look. They had a sold Thunderbird on the floor (black) but they would not let me demo it since it was sold. The salesman asked the service manager it I could ride his and so off I went. This is a really nice bike. 1600cc vertical twin with awesome torque. It even felt good for comfort with the forward controls and floorboards. I loved everything about it except the tank mounted speedo/tach/gauges. The color was pacific blue and white which was very pretty. I have been thinking of a smaller bike for local riding and keeping the RSMV for the long haul. You never know...

Boy! What a disappointment. Been hearing for some time about a new touring model Triumph was doing based on the Rocket platform. Lot's of secrecy and anticipation. What a disappointment when I actually saw what they did. The end result looks like every other main stream cruiser on the market. They even abandoned the dual headlight which gave it a distinctive look and went to single headlight. Reports are it rides very well - only thing on the bike linked to the original Rocket is the motor. New frame, suspension, tires, brakes, etc. - completely redone for better rideability - but the styling is boring IMHO. They had a chance to take a really cool platform and do something unique (not as unique as Victory, hopefully) but you get the point. Unfortunately, while the bike may rock and ride very well - the styling is plain old mainstream. Very disappointed - think Triumph missed an opportunity.
