I have a really sweet 89 Venture now, and I feel a little strange for owning 3 at a time, so I want a v-max. The Drag car of the bike world. Anyone have any leads. Cash is short right now, so i would really prefere a trade. I made a really nice, running 83 out of the two i have. The one just needs a rear master cylinder. The other one needs the carbs put together and both will run just fine. I have the fairings and all other plastic torn off the the one that doesnt currently run. The one that does run has like 28 thousand miles, and the one that doesnt have 58k. The one with 58k ran until i tore it apart for carb parts.

Friend asked me a question about the Guardian Bell. When you buy new bike and trade in old bike do you take your bell off and place it on new bike or do you buy new bell and trade with some-one?

A guy wants to trade either a 2003 Harley Sportster 1200 Anniversary with 16000 miles or a 2009 V-star 950 with 2000 miles for my 91 Trans Am. I am leaning towards the V-star if we made the trade. Seems to be worth more. Any thoughts?

HI Everyone, I'm new here- I'm a little bored with my Roadstar and found someone with with a Royalstar that wants to trade me. He came by my work, we rode each other bikes around the parking lot, so far so good. Tomorrow we are gonna take a longer ride at lunch and if things are as they seem, we will trade strait across. Both bike have around 50k miles. Is there some crazy maintenance I'll have to do with the Royalstar? ANything I need to look for? Both bikes have apes, and are quite customized. Mine has stretched harley bags, tricky air custom fenders, exhaust and his has custom wheels, fenders and stereo. I think I just want things a little simpler, just get on and go. I almost created too much of a custom bike. I always have scraping in the back of my mind with the bags and air, and it's loud as heck. And if my girl is on the back- oh geez- even more to worry about. Anyways, that why I'm here- doing my due diligence on this trade. Thanks for your time. I am looking for a Utopia studded backrest for my 2004 Midnite Venture. I have a Utopia backrest on the bike right now in new condition but it is the plain style and doesn't match the seat. Just out of curiosity, does anyone have one they want to part with or trade for the one I have. I can send pics if you need more info.

Hey guys I am fairly fresh to the site. i couldnt find a classifieds section so if there is one ( moderator please move this for me) i have a windshield that is too short for me and was wondering if anyone had a larger one to sell or trade for a smaller one. Its in great condition with few light swirl marks. It came with my bike but I feel bad buffeting at 65 and above. Jose

I told the dealer that I'd give them my old Jaguar and my Valk for a blue/black '07 RSV. They called this afternoon and said that they'd take the deal. If the rain allows it I'll go in the morning and make the trade. The Jag needs some work and so does the Valk so I think I'll be coming out ahead.......until I start missing the Valkyrie again, then who knows what I'll do.

Have an 05 RSTD and the front tire is ready to be replaced. I was told to replace the 150 with a 130 and will experience better handling. As with most things there are trade off. Would greatly appreciate your ideas. Thanks in advance Norm

http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=51456&highlight=pipes I traded these pipes to another member. Our agreement was he would pay shipping both ways. The stock pipes came a few days before I left for Sturgis. I took off the Bubs and installed the factory pipes. The job took 4 hours, should have been easier but it wasn't the stock pipes didn't want to fit. Getting the Bubs ready to ship I noticed some surface rust spots on the bottoms near the seams. It was not noticeable when I took the pictures but the removed pipes were not pristine near the seams and there were rust spots that appeared to be from rock strikes. It was time to leave for Sturgis on that day I mailed back the Bub pipes. Now the trade partner wants me to pay all return shipping on both sets of pipes. I am not going to do that but I WANT TO BE FAIR ALSO. So Ruffy and Big Tom maybe it was best I didn't trade with you. Any ideas

I'm looking to trade my 07 RSTD for a Road Star. I need something a tad bit smaller and lighter. What do you think my chances are to find someone or a dealer that would swap a used Road Star for my RSTD? I just posted it on eBay to try and sell it, but it would ne nice to trade straight up. Your thoughts? Thanks Mark:fingers-crossed-emo

I bought my Venture with Bubs, would prefer the stock setup. I really like listening to the music not the pipes. I have the baffles packed right now and greatly prefer the quiet. Bubs are the muffler pipe only and are in good shape no damage. The add on tips are flaking a bit. About 10,000 miles on them. I want stock exhaust mufflers, don't know exactly how we would trade yet, I still have a few trips planned for August. I'll post pics fairly soon Let me know if anyone is interested

Anyone out there with a Midnight drivers seat who is looking to have Rick Bulter do his seat mod let me know as I'll trade you even up. While the Mrs loves her seat mod Rick did to the passenger seat I've found that I really prefered the firmer original drivers seat. My bike has the studs on the seats so will require the same when trading. Thanks, Larry

Greetings and "looking fof a seat"
Guest posted a topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Greeting all. I just got my second Venture and am glad I found this board. It seems like alot of good contacts and information. Wondering if anyone has an extra "all vinyl" seat and back rest (the one that goes on the back trunk). The new (1987) Venture that I bought has a vinyl and cloth seat (I believe it's an actual Venture seat as I've seen it on other bikes) and I'd rather have an all vinyl one on my bike as I ride in the rain an would prefer something to just wipe off and hit the road. The seats are in decent shape and would even consider a trade if you're looking for a little fancier seat then the vinyl one you have. Please let me know if you have something or know of a place I might look to find one (byekryam@aol.com). I'm in northern NJ. Thanks so much. Woody -
...I had a retired feller offer me a 2006 VROD with 6500 miles on it as a straight trade for my 65 Comet, if I have the white parts painted blue... I'm still marinating on it...

Now I don't like anything cheap. Cheap generally doesn't perform the way it should, and mostly ends up costing more as a result. The sweetness of low price is soon forgotten in the bitterness of poor quality. So that being said, I think we are getting an awesome deal at $12.00 US for the help that this forum provides. Such a deal in fact, that if I were to buy a magazine subscription to try to capture anywhere near close what I get here,,,,,, at $12.00 I would not even think twice about the supposed results, but instead, look for something that would actually do the trick for me,,,,,,, and then,,,,,,, I would have to wait months or maybe even years for them to come across with the info I would need. OK ENOUGH,,,,,,, This site is worth a lot more than $12.00 US,,,,,,, I'm going to send at least $12.00 CDN. So if you feel the sameway I do, about value for trade,,,, do your thing and bump up the $12.00.
