Lawyer Noah Kushlefsky has filed suit in New York against Toyota Motor Company. Seems as though Mary Rivera purchased a new Lexus and parked it in her down stairs garage. According to the suit, the engine was so quiet that Mrs Rivera did not realize that the engine was still running. The following morning relatives found Mrs Rivera passed out in her upstairs bedroom and her boyfriend Ernst Codella (also a Lawyer) deceased in bed, victims of carbon monoxide posioning. The suit claims Toyota is liable because they failed to install an automatic engine shut off if the car is left unattended for some peroid of time. On the other hand; this may also prove you really can't fix stupid.

Left the house with the better half with all intentions to head for the local Yamaha Dealer to buy a brand new Venture. But, got side tracked and stopped by the local Toyota dealer. Came home with a 2011 Toyota Tacoma double cab all dressed out. Oh well, that'll teach me. Maybe next time.

This is way off topic, but I'm just so damn thrilled with my pickup, I had to share. Today I dragged my wife's 94 Ford Escort from Minneapolis to my place just south of Canada with my 92 Toyota pickup. The weight of the car and dolly was just over 3000#. I held 65 mph in 5th gear (could've gone faster, but I didn't want to risk losing the whole ball of wax at 75), only having to downshift for the construction zones and was able to pull down 19mpg on the first tank, and 19+mpg with the air conditioning on (haven't figured it out yet) on the second tank. Not bad for a 16 year old pickup with 171,000 miles on it. Now, if Toyota just made a truck I wanted, I might consider buying a new one....on second thought, nah!
