Before I send them to the garbage, Are there any good reason to hang onto plastic that are broken, with chunks torn off, way beyond reasonable repair. As spare for my 89 VR of similar color.

I picked up a screw in my rear tire (original Michelin Commander). I really like that tire, lots of miles left, can't find this tire anymore. I have plugged a roofing nail before on another tire, no problems. But this was a fair sized screw, dead center of tread, straight in. Tire is not torn but I don't trust a plug to keep air. Simple question,, is it safe to put a tube in the rear tire? (2006 RSTD stock size)

First condolences to the Women's friends and family but how fast do you have to be going to flip a pick up truck. On the news they said the bike was torn in half. Just can't understand why some people have to ride so fast and especially in urban streets. http://www.mlive.com/news/flint/index.ssf/2011/06/burton_woman_killed_in_flint_c.html

Many of you have already seen these "cheap $$ " options for protecting your bike cover from being torn by the antennas when they are folded in the "down" position. I thought I would re-post these options for the newer members who have not seen them before.

I ordered some fork seals for the venture. A whole $8. Are they a pain to replace? I am an accomplished mechanic, but have never torn into fork seals on any scoot before. Anything I need to watch out for?

Can anyone tell me if they have ever installed a set of mirrors with the turn signals in them. I've seen a set you wire as running lights and turn signals. Are they worth the $$ or just stick with the stock. I have looked over the reviews and seem to think they might be easy to install, if they work as the company says. I'm still torn over spending the money. I need some help/input as I'm sure some one has done it. Putting them on my 08 Venture..... Thanks! Ride safe!

I have a 1992 Venture Royale that has 85k miles. It has a "knock" when idling that appears to be a rod on the left rear cylinder. My question is whether this is a project worth undertaking or should I part out the bike? Has anyone torn down a motor. What is the estimated cost if I do the work myself? Thanks for your comments.
