20 more days till the TKR surgery....... It's kinda hitting me hard right now. I must be nuts, but it needs to be done. No backing out at this point. It has taken way too much of a toll on my personal life these last few years. Missed too much stuff. Took its toll on the family and pets, not to mention riding.

Heading up to Branson MO on Friday...really don't like the traffic going through Austin. Is it worth taking the toll road that goes around Austin? Does anyone know how much it would cost if you got on the first opportunity (from San Antonio) and staying on all the way to where it joins up again with I35? we will be riding the bike, pulling a trailer. appreciate any help you can offer.

When you go over a toll bridge, or onto a Tollway, do they charge you extra for the trailer behind the scoot?? I've never pulled a bike trailer over one of our toll bridges here in NorCal, but when pulling my inclosed tandem trailer they charge more than twice than what just my pickup would cost. Pisses me off!! Thought it would be interesting to disconect it and push it thru the toll booth. We also have toll free car pool lanes that allow bikes at certain times during the day. I wonder if the free-b would also include towing a trailer???

The wife and I do an annual wedding anniversary ride. Last year we did Macinaw, year before that Serenity Springs, and this year is Niagara Falls. We are staying in the Embassy suites in Ontario. We are leaving from South Bend, IN. Trying to decide which is the better ride, taking the toll road stateside all the way there, or going through Canada. Does anyone have an opinion in either case - anyone have any suggestions, advice, good places to stop, etc? Thanks!

Question, Is the Ohio Turnpike toll-road the kind where you enter then pay at the exit or is it like Chicago where you have to stop every 5 miles or so and pay the toll?

We need some advice. StarRider and I will be attending the Rally at KW next July and will be travelling through the states. We will be stopping in Minneapolis to see friends and then south through the Chicago area. Is there a way around Chicago so that we can miss the toll roads. Or is it better to take the more direct route through Chicago. We would probably pick up 94 in Indiana, and then into Michagan to Detroit. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
