Deb and I are going for a weekend ride next week. Where you ask? Where ever the front wheel takes us. Looking for anyone that would like to join us. We live near Joliet, Ill. As of now, we have no plans other than to leave about 9 or 10 am on Sat and be back home sometime Sunday afternoon/evening. Basically, we will ride till we are tired and then try to find a room, then get up and do it again till we get home. Looking for something scenic and slow. No bar hopping or spending hours in a parking lot shooting the breeze. Don't get me wrong, we enjoy jaw jacking from time to time but this ride will be about the ride.

Has anyone ever replaced the oil in the rear shock? Is it possible? I hope to improve the ride for the remainder of the year. My shock is getting tired and seems to be leaking air. Did the entire lead test and found no bubbles anywhere.

--to nest in the neck of my Venture! Had spider fly out from the neck and splatter my faceshield today. Surprisingly the sucker managed to stay there for 23 miles. Musta got tired on the 24.6 mile. Come to think of it, should of taken a picture.... but... I was more concerned with cleaning the bug off.

After a long night, this morning we welcomed Tiva Jade into our family. Everyone is doing fine other than being very tired. Well, less talk, more pics. -Andrew p.s. This is why I won't be making the WI MD 2012.

thats right! Pelican cases on my 1st gen. my old yammy cases were leaking, and the right case had melted. probably from a rear caliper locking up in the past. so...i went pelican! pelican cases are virtually indestructible. water and air tight and lightweight! the cases i got were the hardigg i2400 storm. 26 liters. i bought them on ebay, used, from a supplier for 117.00 delivered. they weigh 6.5lbs, my yammy case weighs 9lbs. saved 5 lbs already! i took off backrest, helmet locks, crash bar, and grab handles. that stuff weighed 23lbs!! my tired rear shock is probably lovin me right now....anyhow...i used the mounts for the top right off the old cases. i wanted to be able to take them off, like regular luggage. i also used the lower guide/mount , but, had to make a new bracket. i used some samson construction brackets. lots off measuring, re-measuring, and drilled holes. mounted upper and lower brackets and checked fit. I LOVE THEM!!!! sweet case, custom look, and WATERTIGHT!.now some final finish work, locktite, silicone, and then the other side tomorrow. whew! im tired...all that thinkin wore me out! oh, i have to make a locking point for them too, so the dont fall off, and no one can steal them....enjoy. told ya i was up to somethin... Here it is, March 2, 2012. We just completed 2 months of the year and this morning I got an email from Choice Hotels congratulating me on achieving Diamond Elite Status for this year. I've been a Diamond Elite member for a lot of years but you have to re-qualify every year. That is the top level of their membership program and I think you achieve it at 40 nights. I am not bragging about it....I'm really just TIRED of being gone so much. It doesn't even include my last 8 or 10 nights on the road and yes, I'm writing this from another hotel room. I know that I am fortunate to have a job at a time when so many are out of work and I am indeed thankful for that.

Need some advice. I just replaced my tired Kenwood analog tuner with a not so tired Pioneer digital. When I try to listen to AM signals I get a hum... or I guess feedback... in the speakers, when I go to FM it sounds fine. I've checked the +/- continuity for the speakers and they are correct. I'm no expert when it comes to messing with audio stuff, so anyone a lot smarter than me have any ideas what might cause the AM hum??

Ok, I know this has nothing to do with a motorcycle but here goes anyway. Do any of you use Linux or one of the variations of Linux Os on your computers? I'm putting together a system and would like to know what to expect. Is it hard to set up and maintain? I'm just tired of paying "taxes" to Microsoft all the time. I'm looking for something different. As far as my knowledge of computers, I'm not a computer nerd, but I'm also not computer illiterate. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Having never served myself thanks to tricky Dick I don't know so hears my question. My son who has served 14 yr is now in Afghanistan and has been since last July and finally called us yesterday. After not hearing from him for three weeks. It was good to hear his voice again. He said that he was very tired and tired of being hungry. When he left he was about 205 and is now at 175. I have a hard time imagining this! How could we send these young men to fight for our country and not feed them? He is on a forward operation base and says things are heating up there now that winter is almost over. Seems the Taliban are fair weather fighters. We are sending him another care package today {food, magazines, tobacco products}. All I know is that this fries me. One more thing he has bought with his own money a Rangefinder and a tactical jacket with lots of storage pockets. Which we have sent on to him. This I thought was unacceptable also that he is self funding our war needs.

Does anyone have a promotion code from HID Country for their HID kits? I need to get enough for 3 lights soon. I'm tired of riding in the dark.

Sorry guys, but they just don't make 'em this purty anymore. I get comments on her almost daily...mostly Hardly riders. I even have 2 guys that are selling their new Ultras, and buying RSVs. Their words....." I'm just tired of having to put it in the shop every time I turn around." RSVs are getting more popular. http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/DSCN4500.jpg

So, somebody talk to me about the intercom! We've been using a scala rider wireless set up, but are getting tired of it failing to "open" the mike when you talk. Better than nothing, but a LONG way from relliable IMHO. Looking at the hard wired set up on the bike. My question, if I'm running down the pike listening to the radio and I wanna talk with the wife then I'd hit the "talk" button on the bar, right? If not, how do we switch back and forth? Yeah, I know a dumb question, but the instructions in the owner's manual tonight look pretty "confusing" (or maybe I'm just tired??) Thanks ALL!

It appears that at least one of the rubber boots the carbs sit on is cracked. Another one don't look to good. My question is where is the best place price wise to buy these things. If I got to take the carbs off again I'm going to replace them all. This is about four times in the last three years I've taken them off so I'm getting a little tired of this. I think some of you have repaired them but I think I just want to replace them. Thanks for the help, BOO

What is the farthest distance you have ridden in one day? We went 700 and something from Cincinnati, Ohio to a town called Williams, Iowa this past August. That was the longest for us. We were tired, but because we stop to stretch our legs usually about every 2 hours or so, we really were not sore. Just tired, especially from the strong winds on I-80. Yama Mama

All the tests are done (I hope) and should find out tomorrow if I need more surgery. Spine shaped like an S, hips not inline, and where back was fused is at a angle to the left, gained 80 lbs. Hope they have a plan because quite frankly just cannot take this pain anymore. And tired of setting on my butt all the time. Just glad I can still ride, it's about the only thing I can do anymore. Venting done, wish me luck.

Hey All, Real quick Lonna and I are back in Michigan. We had the most awsome time this last 2 1/2 weeks and can't thank everyone enough for their generosity. Too tired to talk so I will catch up with all y'all (that be plural southern style) Thanks again for an awsome vacation!

I need a few things for my new laptop running Vista home edition 32 bit. 1. A good USB serial cable adapter with drivers. 2. A terminal emulator program like hyper terminal or something else. 3. Will dos box run older programs? I'm trying to get the new laptop doing all I can. Tired of carrying two laptops just to maintain communications gear in the field. Now I got three computers on the truck.

Please tell me something. No, not that. How do you delete pms? I know I'm overlooking something, still tired from MD trip, but I can't figure out how to do this. Thanks.

I am venting here, I just bought a 2004 venture, and one of the harley guys asked me when I was going to move up. I told him I was not ready for a Goldwing yet. Then he said, No I mean up to a harley, to which I replied, that going down, not up. I get tired of that attitude that I are ridding something less than they are because I don't ride a harley. It use to be a joke, but I have began to take it personally. just venting Gregg
