Shipped my Road Glide seat off to Rick Butler this morning. I have put some miles on it and was pleasantly surprised with it for a stock seat. I've done a Saddle Sore and a Bun Burner on it so I know that I can do a thousand mile day on it with no major problems. There is still room for improvement though so I figured that with the snow on the ground, it was a great time to let him work his magic.

I put one full can of Seafoam in a full tank about every three to four thousand miles. Is there such a thing as too much or too often when it comes to using Seafoam. For example...would it be alright to use maybe half a can every fill up???

I'm looking at buying a 2005 RSD with about 40,000 miles on it. The dealer whose selling it has done all the maintenance on it and it's in immaculate condition. What kind of issues am I likely to have. This seems to me to be high miles, but I'm used to riding snowmobiles which would long be in the scrap pile before they got these miles. The dealer wants about $8000 for it which I think is kind of high. Is it?. My wife and I are looking at doing a few trips a year of a few hundred to a thousand miles each. With neither having ridden for the last 30 years, is this to much of a bike. We are both in our early 50s and in good shape. I plan on getting used to the bike for a few thousand miles before we do any riding together. Am I nuts to be looking at a bike this big and with this many miles??

Has anyone attempted to mount a stereo system on an OEM windshield? I looked at the sites for the fairings and batwings and it appears I would be out a couple thousand dollars just to get some tunes. I was looking at the space above the instrument cluster and it got me to thinking...

Guy doesn't know what he is talking about. Couple thousand miles closer I would look at it.

I am contemplating buying a new Venture. A couple of dealers have some '08s they are trying to sell. So, what are some of the goods and bads of this bike? I have a VTX 1800, and by the time I get all the upgrades done, I'll be several thousand dollars into it, and it will be setup like the Venture. But the Venture is already done:) Here are a few of the things holding me back... 1. Carbuerated. Are you kidding me? This is 2009. I plan to ride this thing all over, and don't want to rejet just so I can ride up in Colorado. 4 Carbs...that would be a pain. 2. 1300 vs. my 1800. How is the power on this thing? It weighs as much as my VTX, and I don't want to be unhappy with the power. 3. Price. I just seems to me that a carbuerated 1300 touring bike is priced a little too high. Not that I want a Goldwing, but I can get a new one ('08) for only a thousand more. 4. Mileage. What could I get, realistically? 5. Anyone teach the MSF ERC course and use this for your demos? How does it do? Thoughts, inputs appreciated! Tell me what you think of this bike. Thanks.

Does any of the current Mustang Seats fit on a 2007 Venture if anyone knows please let me know. If not how about everyone jump onto the Mustang Seats Web sight go to contact us and send an e-mail asking when they are going to make a seat for the Ventures. I've had mustang seats on other bikes and really like them (personal preference) As we all know a few thousand e-mails have a tendency to gain the undivided attention of a company so please it will only take a minute or two. Thank You Animal
