Well, fork seals... non issue... those will be fixed in time... just need to make sure I got oil with me. But... heres current... pressing issue, current today. Bike idles fine. she'll idle 900-1000K ok. After getting warmed up tho, really well... the idle likes to stick high, 2K area. Today she stuck at 2500, I turn the engine off, turn the engine back on, she starts up and idles around 1, 1.2K What gives? Also happen to get crappier MPG now -.-' 29-31... before it was 35 average right up until we had to garage her this year. We've replaced the caps. I got cracked intake manifolds tho... I can probably clean the K&N AF. Could it be the Ignitech TCI?

Hi there all I have been working on restoring a 84 Venture for the last 2 months that was in a garage with 26,000 miles for the last 15 years. I tore it down complete to a motor in a frame and have since down all the updates that I have read on the forums and have a issue at this moment. The headlight bulb stays lit all the time in the dash Evan tho the head light works on high and low and also the tail and brake light stays lit in the LCD Evan tho the lights work. Does anybody have a idea where to go to test or has anybody ran across this issue before. Thanks I will have pictures of everything I have done so far posted when I get a internet connection that does not take 24 hours to upload. Thanks in advance. AL

To all of you, Haylie and I want to say Merry Christmas and thank you! So many of you sent me notes and helped us out I just couldn’t answer everyone and thank everyone. You all brought a smile to my face along with tears and I will never forget! My brother does a lot of traveling and he used some of his frequent flyer miles to book Haylie and I a trip home to my family in Ohio for Christmas. Tho we are getting excited about it, its bitter sweet in a way : ( Even tho my future is kind of “unknown” at this time, I am doing whatever I have to for us as best I can. It is starting to slowly get a little easier settling into being alone but all the emotional trash is still raw. I am having to make some tough decisions as I go along because of some bad choices someone else is making. My heart truly aches for him because he is blinded to how it will all end up coming back to hurt him some day. Please keep him in your prayers. I am truly trying to forgive and treat him as best I can, but believe me some days I lose my temper. Legalities are started and we will see where that goes after the 1st of the year : ( Thanks to you all Christmas will be better than I anticipated for Haylie, I didn’t want it to be any worse for her than it had to be. The way I see it, the past cpl years have been pretty tough for us and they can only get better now. I owe a lot to God and my faith, He has never failed me thru it all I hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas full of love and family and blessings! You all have a special place in my heart!

I am in the market for a solid leather jacket. I hear that a leather company called Fox Creek makes an outstanding jacket. They are pricey tho. Anyone use one or can tell me one way or the other about their quality. Thanks Nevada Max

there used to be a motorcycle lift that mounted in the bed of your truck and would reverse and lower to the ground to load or unload your bike. I can't seem to find a web site - anybody remember these lifts ?? I think I found it - sticker shock has got me tho ----

Had to laugh at this one:rotfl: The writing on the bike says Yamaha but you can never be too sure anymore. Might be a good deal for one of ours in that part of the country. Trying to get those "Kawasaki" parts to fit your Venture may be a problem tho http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Parts-Accessories_Motorcycle-Parts-Accessories__1983-Kawasaki-Venture-Parts-Bike_W0QQitemZ380050818992QQddnZPartsQ20Q26Q20AccessoriesQQadnZMotorcycleQ20PartsQ20Q26Q20AccessoriesQQddiZ2811QQadiZ2863QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item380050818992&_trksid=p3756.m14.l1318

Ok...not bike related...but the movie called '3:10 to Yuma' is a really good movie. Just watched it...and it was filmed in the state right next to me...New Mexico. Its a western about a rancher taking a killer to justice...the action and dialog is pretty good. Only a few cusswords, and one buttshot, so you can watch it with your teens. It IS a western, so lots of gunfire and some blood..not gory tho. If you liked Unforgiven, or Cold Mountain, you'll like this one. I dont watch many movies anymore...too much crap out there now days...this one was good. For what its worth.
