I am riding down Friday Aug 19 afternoon/evening depending on work and am looking to see if anyone has a camp site that they would like to share/split. I have an aspen classic and normally all state parks I have been in allow us to put two tent trailers or two tents on one site. If anyone has a site to share please let me know before I try to book a site next week. Thanks looking forward to meeting new friends and seeing old ones.

We are having a BMW rally out at the fairgrounds and they expect about 10,000 BMW's to be there. I rode to the fairgrounds this evening and it was like going back to the nest with a whole bunch of bees. They have huge tents set up for vendors(I guess) and for some of the campers, they have identical blue and white two man size tents set up in long rows, in perfect alignment and touching each other. I wish I had taken my camera with me, it just looked so different than what we had at Asheville. I hope they have a good safe time here and I am sure they will be bringing major bucks to this area. We are expecting thunderstorms to be moving through the area for the next several days. RandyA

Our church is sponsoring a sea to sea bicycle tour. On Aug 25 they plan on leaving St Catherines ON with about 120 cyclists and arriving in Albion NY to finish this leg of their journey. They had arranged to overnight at a school in Albion, but it seems that they can no longer do this due to it being rented out to another group previously. What would be helpful here, if someone can help by finding another location for these folks to shower, sleep etc. in the area. They bring their own tents and food etc, they only would like shower facilities and a place to pitch their tents, more or less. For info on the tour: http://www.crcna.org/pages/sea_front.cfm

In my younger days, I spent many a night sleeping on the ground under a tarp thrown over my motorcycle. Always said that I needed to design a tent that I could just drive the scoot into. Well, someone has finally done it. http://domsoutdoor.com/default.asp?sid=E092206&eid=E092206&eicioi=6742 (select tents) While the ATV shelter needs a few improvements, it may be just the ticket for the venture camper...........
