It looks like the backrest is easy to remove for the times that I have a passenger on the bike. Is that correct? A couple of pins and pops off? Do the brackets for the backrest tend to dig in to the seat? Any wear marks or holes from the backrest or the brackets?

Usually after a ride of more than 100 miles my lower legs tend to swell and have internal throbbing pain. Anyone else experience this after a ride?

I put Metzlers on the scoot about 3500 miles ago. So far, so good. Good wear (mucho bettero than the Dunfloppeds) and none of the stated problems mentioned in previous threads. They handle well and I can discern no construction flaws. I did notice that my set was made in Germany. It seems that most problems are from the Brazilian-made tires. Just passing the info along. My riding is mostly 2-up and I tend to like to twist that thing on the right handlebar. I have none of the squirreliness (is that a word?) on grooved pavement or tar snakes previously noticed with the OTHER tires. I would recommend these with a note of caution to pay attention to the country of manufacture.

It is becoming apparent that some here love to talk about gas prices and that others would like this forum to remain a friendly place with out political discourse. Since gas prices and politics go together like well gasoline and fire those threads tend to get explosive and then deleted. Well here is the perfect place for your gas talk. http://www.gasbuddy.com Cheers (A moderator should lock this thread before it explodes.)
