I am going back to a MT just as fast as I can. I installed a Nexen a couple of weeks ago. The first thing I noticed is the bike seemed very light to push. It was great on the tar snakes too, could not even feel a tar snake in the rear. But that's about the only good things I could say. I lost all confidence in control ability. at 70 or higher I got the wiggle, which feels very similar to being in the draft of a big rig. On a 90 degree curve at some point in the curve the bike would want to turn even deeper/sharper and I would have to correct for that.I assuming that's the sharper edge on the CT causing that. BUT the biggest factor is the CT wanting to follow even the smallest depression or rise in the road to the point that the bike feels like its constantly wandering over the road. I have this strange desire for the feeling of complete control on the bike with no surprises so its back to a MT for me.

I just came back from a nice ride South on State Route 43 in Ohio. We went from Malvern thru Carrollton and down to Amsterdam. There are some really nice twisties in the 47 mile round trip and all were equipped with tar snakes. I happy to report that conditions were such that the snakes were of no consequence to affect riding at all. The temperature was 75 plus and the snakes were all older ( as in not recent) but I couldn't feel them at all. I starting to REALLY like my KUMHO !!

I am having a really hard time cleaning off the tar from a set of HD mufflers I have purchased to put on my RSV. I have used the following products with little to no effect. WD-40 Chrome Polish (Mothers and Turtle Wax) Never Dull Tar and Bug Remover and even GAS.... What am I missing here?? There has to be a way to do this and get the results....

Yesterday was a sad day for the Darksiders. I mounted up my spare wheel yesterday. It came with a Dunlop E3 on it. Im going to run this tire out. But anywho, riding around the last 2 days, Ive noticed tar snakes again. I didn't feel them with the car tire on, but today, I'd go over one and the rear tire felt like it'd try to pass me. Hopefully this tire will be worn out in a couple of months and I'll be back to the darkside. Has anyone else noticed that you don't feel the tar snakes with the car tire on?

I've removed and greased the front and rear suspensions, replaced the front and rear tires, monitor tire and suspension air pressures and my 84 now handles much better. But today it's in the 90's and the tar snakes are "wet". As we turned out of a picnic rest area I drove over a parallel to the road tar snake, for a very brief period it felt like my SO and I were going to go down. None of my other bikes do this. Any one else have this problem?

Help...I made a boo boo :!: I tried using one of those bug sponges (the ones with the scotch brite-like stuff on one side) to remove the bug guts and tar from my lower fairings. I had the lowers off and submersed in a pail of soapy water and I was scrubbing them with the bug sponge. When I pulled them out they looked great...no bug guts or tar...OR CLEAR COAT :!: :!: :!: . When I dried them off I could see a lot of dull scuffs and scratches. How do I repair this :?: I am not too familiar with automotive paints and finishes. (No kidding eh)

I have a flat garage roof and 8 years ago I had the tar and gravel surface replaced by a rolled rubber roof with a granular surface. The roof just started leaking along one of the seams, maybe a 3' length. I have read that just coating the area with tar will eventually deterioriate the rubber roof itself. Other than calling in a roofer, is there anything that I could do to stop the leak myself? :mo money:

81 Honda cm400t, been sitting since '84, inside has a tar look to it, gas doesn't drain from shutoff hole at all. even with shutoff valve off. Any help on cleaning inside of tank appreciated. Shoved rubber tube up the hole, must have inch of tar like stuff blocking hole. Anything I can put in tank to desolve that stuff?
