Two old guys were playing golf when they came to a hole with water along the side of the course. One guy hits his ball near the water and both guys go over to look for the ball. They get near the water and there is a frog sitting on the bank of the pond. As the golfers approach the frog they hear him say, hey buddy come here. They both walk over. The frog says hey buddy pick me up and give me a kiss and I will grant you all the sex you want for the rest of your life. Old guy reaches down and picks up the frog and puts him in his pocket. His golfing buddy says didn't you hear what that frog said. Give him a kiss and you can have all the sex you want. Old guy says at this point in my life I believe I would rather have me a talking frog.

Please.. if you haven't listed your bike year etc under your site nickname, please do. So many ask and answer questions without showing what bike, yea,r generation etc that they have. You then have to go to their profile to see what bike they are talking about. Rant off... thanks.

While sitting here in the office every morning I have a news radio station playing in the background. Now that the weather has turned warmer every morning and evening I hear traffic reports of Motorcyclists down, Motorcyclist vs Semi, Motorcylist Abulance on it's way, Life flight, Fatalities..... etc. I'm not talking about once in a while... it's every morning and evening!! It's like mayhem carnage. While typing this another motorcycle accident to the hospital report was just given... It scares the cr@p out of me, to the point I don't run any errands around town any longer. It just ain't worth it...

Ok, I got draggd into a conversation today about something I haven't been involved with for years. I don't even own a weed wacker or a chain saw let alone a dirt bike these days so I wasn't much help to the coworker. He recently bought a used, new to him Yamaha dirt bike from a dealer. He is having a ball with it but after talking to the service people at the dealer he came looking for me. Ya know, because I ride a bike. But he had been talking to them about 2 cycle oil for the bike. They told him he could ONLY use Yamaha or Polaris oil in the bike because ANYTHING else would gum up the motor. Now with that statement alone I would call BS by the dealer. From my experience, and I worked for several years in the lawn mower repair shops when I was younger find that info incorrect. As long as he uses the proper ratio for oil/fuel he should be fine. I gave him the only advice I gave any customer. Correct ratio and run the fuel empty before storing or changing oil types or brands. But I told him I'd ask around. I know some guys. Comments? Mike

On RSV and RSTD there is a switched aux power plug under the seat avaliable for use with small rubber plugs covering the pin holes. Does anyone know what pins to order to be able to use this? Dealer not sure what I'm talking about. Both of my bikes have it just sitting there.

Two years ago we decided to get back on a bike again and I picked up a 1984 Venture and now I have another setting next to it in the shed allmost ready to hit the road in the spring. As much as I like the ride of them its getting parts that has me looking for something newer to take the long rides on. And no I wont be parting with my Venture anytime soon way to much fun for our roads around here. So talking with Sharon about it she said no Harleys, and that is fine with me. It has came down to a newer Venture or a Vulcan has anyone here had both or rode both that will give me a honest opinion. Thanks Orlin

Hey guys. Many of you will have been terrorised lately by Annie and Al visiting you from down-under. I'm very pleased that she has returned, as I've bought her Wedgetail Outrider from her to fit to my 2004 RSV. Mind you it has to be shipped from one side of the country to the other, but nevertheless it will be worth it. I'm sure the Wedgetail is known by another name in the States, so here's a link to the local site if you don't know what I'm talking about. I'll let you know how I go with it and post photos when done. Cheers, Spear. http://www.wedgetailoutriders.com.au/

Here's a question to everyone I've been trying to reason out in my head for quite some time... When you compare the RSTD or RSV 1300's to other types of bikes with v-twins that are said to have 1300 or higher cc's, what are we really comparing. I understand what 1300 means, just like I understand what 1700 means - but when you include the fact that the RSTD's and RSV's are 4 cylinder engines, what difference does that make? Should I feel uncomfortable talking about the power of my bike with a buddy who has a 1700cc or with another friend that has a 96ci? Are we talking about tourqe or horsepower or both or what? I would really like to have some ammunition in my back pocket so I can fire back at them when they say my bike is ONLY 1300cc's. My RSTD has their bikes beat on comfort but what about performance. What are everyones thoughts? I hope my question makes sense.

Last year I replaced all the windows in my house with that expensive double-pane energy efficient kind, and today, I got a call from the contractor who installed them. He was complaining that the work had been completed a whole year ago and I still hadn't paid for them. ..........just because I'm blonde doesn't mean that I am automatically stupid. So, I told him just what his fast talking sales guy had told me last year, that in ONE YEAR these windows would pay for themselves! Helllooooo? It's been a year! I told him. There was only silence at the other end of the line, so I finally just hung up. He never called back. I bet he felt like an idiot.

Would this stand work for an RSV?
elmicko posted a topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Since we've been talking about center stands and bike lifts, etc., I was wondering if this would work on an RSV. What do you guys think? http://www.jpcycles.com/product/ZZ91220 -

A guy is 72 years old and loves to fish. He was sitting in his boat the other day when he heard a voice say, "Pick me up!" He looked around and couldn't see anyone. He thought he was dreaming when he heard the voice again say, "Pick me up!" He looked in the water and there, floating on top, was a frog. The man said, "Are you talking to me?" The frog said, "Yes, I'm talking to you. Pick me up, then kiss me and I'll turn into the most beautiful woman you've ever seen!" "I'll make sure that all your friends are envious because I will be your bride." The man looked at the frog for a short time, reached over, picked it up carefully and placed it in his front pocket. The frog said, "What! Are you nuts?" "Didn't you hear what I said?" I said "Kiss me and I will be your beautiful bride!" He opened his pocket, looked at the frog and said, "Nah, at my age, I'd rather have a talking frog!" With age comes Wisdom!

OK sorry if this has already been asked. I did several serches and came up empty first. I know that my 1991 uses a ch6002 parts number filter. Thats where the rub comes in. Nobody in my area except the dealor carries it and hes crazy at $20. I have found at a local auto parts store the ch6000 and the ch 6003 . Will either of these work? they look to be smaller than the ones Ive used from what I remember. But that is dealing with my memory and sometimes it fails me. Seems to me I remeber someone talking about using the ch6000 . Any help is apreciated. David

Saturday at MD this year, I was talking to a very nice person named Shirley. We were sitting on the back deck of Freebird's house with her husband at lunch time. I also spoke to her when I was on the front porch. We were talking about the need for more T Shirts that fit women, like the Lady VentureRider shirts we had made up several years ago. Lonnie was on the front porch at the time too. I really enjoyed talking to her, but I have one big problem. I do not remember her husband's name or where they even live. Could someone please help me? I feel horrible that I do not remember. Please help if you can! Yama Mama:hurts:
