The VentureRider International Rally in Cody is coming up sooner than we realize. I'm so looking forward to the opportunity to ride in this great part of our country but mostly I'm excited to see so many of the friends I've been able to get to know through this site, whether we've met in person already or will soon do so. We've received a couple of emails about the t-shirts that will be available as part of the Rally and realized we haven't shared the final design....oops!! So, here it is...... If you haven't registered, now's the time to do it! See you in Cody!! Dave

This is for all those that participated in any of these events, either by attending or making a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. I have received a large number of items for our participation in Crusin' for St. Jude. Here is a list of what I received. These are not the same design as last years items, they change them yearly, so you wont have a duplicate to last years items if you have them. I couldn't take a decent picture of the pin, but it is the same design as the logo on the shirt and hat. 12 Hats 20 Pins-----(pin size is 1 3/4 x 3/4) 10 Med. T-Shirts 8 Large T-Shirts 12 X-Large T-Shirts 7 XX-Large T-Shirts 3 XXX-Large T-Shirts Last year we had an auction to raise funds for St. Jude and we were very successful in doing so. Our Grand total was $3,450.00 and we hope to do better next year. But this year I am going to offer these items up to the folks who helped make this possible. So if you would like to have one of these items, all I am asking you to do is cover the shipping to get it to you. Thats it, just the shipping charges. I prefer to use USPS Priority mail, it is the easiest and fastest way to get them to you. So if you want a hat or a t-shirt and use pay-pal for making your payment and it is shipping to a domestic address in the U.S. the shipping charge will be $6.00. If you want a pin I will send those by regular mail and that shipping charge will be $1.00. Shirt or hat to Canada will be slightly higher, $8.00 and the pin will be $2.00. These will be available on a first come basis. And I would like to limit it to 1 item per person so there will be enough to go around. Thats it folks, we had another great year. If there are any extras left over after the smoke clears I will make them available to everyone, but I dont expect there to be any, I didnt have any left over from last years effort. So dont delay. My PayPal address is...............partin_guy@yahoo.com If you would like to use snail mail to pay me, send me a pm and I will give you my mailing address. Thanks again for all the support VR members give in supporting St. Jude Children's Hospital..................:clap2::clap2: Here are the shipping charges again. U.S. Shipping via USPS priority mail. Hats and Shirts.............................$6.00 Pins via 1st class mail...................$1.00 Canada shipping............................... Hats and Shirts..............................$8.00 Pins.......................................................$2.00

linda and i are so glad that you made it through this terrible ordeal. cindy, i really owe you many more thanks then i can put into words for hanging with me on the 09 rally committee. thought i was going to lose you several times , but you hung in there and never let me down. if you would not have been there this whole rally would have been doomed from the git go. for all you folks that don't know, cindy took the job of registration, t-shirts, and a whole bunch of other jobs to numerous to mention and ran with them. so when your all down there at the rally having a great time, a whole lot of thanks needs to go to cindy. you did good girl. and we love ya for it. bill and linda. :clap2::clap2:

not a whole lot happening this month on the rally cuz of the holiday season. just want to remind every one that would like to register and order their t-shirt sizes, or just drop in and see what the t-shirts look like, just click on the hub at the top of the venturerider home page. early registration will be helpful, so we can get a count for the final meal and so cindy can get going on the t-shirts and patches , and rosebud can make up the name badges for the meet. i hope everyone is having as great a holiday season as linda and i are having. bill

Ok this is for the folks who wanted t-shirts from the Asheville event. I'm gonna put in another order for anyone who wants one. Not sure how much this batch will be since I don't know how many will order, so that part I'll have to let you know after I get the numbers in. I need at least 6 per shirt if not it'll be a bit more then they were last time. Let me know who wants one or two. Still have the choice of pocket or no pocket. This is the link to the last time I ordered them so you can see the shirts if you need your memory refreshed. Their will be no writing on the front I changed that but can't find the pic of that one. I'll give this till sun or monday. Then I'll get back to those who order with the prices. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=25173 Margaret

Ok here's the story I can't use the design that Jeff picked for the t-shirts. So I had to make a quick change so I can order them. Here's the links and you can order one with pockets now if you want. First is with pocket the second without. Hope everyone see's this cause I'm gonna have to get the order out no later then wed. Since it isn't too compicated a design I'm making the assumption and hope it'll be faster. http://www.customink.com/designs/rally2/8759320-1288878?cm_ven=hotlink&cm_cat=2&cm_pla=Body_txt&cm_ite=design http://www.customink.com/designs/rally3/8759401-1288878?cm_ven=hotlink&cm_cat=2&cm_pla=Body_txt&cm_ite=design Sorry they aren't real fancy but not too bad since I didn't have time to make it any better. Thanks folks Margaret

Those people that did NOT get their t-shirts at the rally, as you probably know by now there was a problem with our shirt supplier. I meant to explain this at the Wednesday night wrap-up dinner but anyone that was there knows that I was out off my game a little bit that evening due to "Tinkerbell" and "Beelzebub" and forgot to discuss it. We have another order in for the remaining shirts, I had to deal with another supplier. They should probably be in early next week. Al and I will sit down early next week and get it all figured out and then ship your shirts to you. We may need to send emails out to some of you to get shipping addresses. Thanks for your patience. By the way....this weekend I will be drinking heavily in an attempt to get the images of those two out of my mind.:yikes:

having a problem coming up with t-shirts for eureka springs. can't seem to get a comunication going with shirtz&things after a little phone tag i have emailed them. here is the problem. as recommended by allanh. i want to set it up where each member that wants them ,can order there size directly off their web site. this way i don't have to mess with shipping and i don't want to collect peoples money to pay for them. i am not wanting to have any kind of registration fee for this meet. i tried our only local t-shirt and graffics dealer but they have no website. if i can't get something going with shirtzn things this week i am going to give up on the t-shirt idea. i haven't got a design yet and to be honest i don't have a clue what i am doing when it comes to designing t-shirts. my sister is a profesional artist but has had some health problems so i don't want to burden her. if someone else wants to tackle the t-shirts and patches that knows what they are doing, have at it. i am in the process of getting a bunch of door prizes together for the guys and gals for the drawing. other than the t-shirt problem everything is coming together for a great meet and looks like we will have a good turnout. hope we have the weather we had last year. see you all there. bill

Ladies and Gentleman, I'm not one to sugar-coat things and would rather be blunt then to talk like a politician and take the chance on being misunderstood. So...that fact of the matter is: our 2008 VentureRider Rally is about 10 weeks away. We have organized campsites and cabins, we have organized buffet breakfasts for everyone so that we all eat breakfast together as a group, we have people organizing rides, we have a design made up for patches and t-shirts. All the prices that we have arranged for breakfasts, or for patches or t-shirts is based on some quantity sales. IF we don't have enough numbers, we are not getting the prices we want....I think everyone can appreciate how that works. As of today we have: 2 orders for T-shirts, 9 people registered for the rally and 9 people have purchased raffle tickets for the trailer. PEOPLE - we need some commitment for this event and we need it very soon or we have to re-evaluate how we are going to do things and at what cost, IF we are doing it at all! I will need to confirm the issue of breakfasts at the resort soon. If we don't get some orders soon for t-shirts, either we won't have enough to make it cost-effective, or we won't be able to get the shirts done in time for the rally. Today is Sunday April 27th. We need to be able to confirm some of these numbers by Friday May 9th or we will have to make some major changes to the event. Sorry to sound heavy-handed here but we need some commitment here....real soon.

The 2008 VentureRider Rally committee is having to deal with the fact that the response for this rally has been far less than anticipated. To date we have approx. 29 people registered. The event is just over 7 weeks away and in view of the poor response, we find we will probably need to make some changes to what we had planned. The plan originally was for the campground to provide a breakfast for us each morning…our thought was that it would have been better and easier for us if we were all having breakfast together in one place so we could chat and socialize and then head out on our rides, similar to what we did in Colorado. We negotiated hard with the campground to get a good price on a good breakfast, however that was based on a party of approx. 100 people. With the response that we have so far, it would appear that we will have to cancel that breakfast and hopefully get our deposit back. We will then simply head out each morning to the various spots for breakfast and then meet at a spot to head out on the rides. The response for the patches and T-shirts has also been less than anticipated. The people registered so far for T-shirts, which includes pre-registrants, is approx. 31. Similar to the breakfast order, the t-shirt prices that we received were based on a minimum order of 100. We are far short of that and since there is a 3 week turnaround from order to pickup date, we would need to have that order in by approx. June 1st – that’s only 2 ½ weeks away. If we do not have the minimum order of 100 units, the price would be far too high and we will have to forget the idea of t-shirts, which we know would be a shame to many members. Response for the trailer raffle ticket sales has also been very slow. To date we have had 11 people buy raffle tickets, for a sales total of $295.00. To buy the trailer for this raffle we require at least $1,150.00. We are not even close and if we do not reach that amount in time, our suggestion would be to simply buy some decent prizes with that money. Those people who have already purchased raffle tickets would have a chance for some very nice prizes…perhaps a GPS, an IPOD etc. The bottom line is this: if we do not get enough response by Friday May 30th, we are going to make changes. We will NOT cancel the event, those that want to come and have a good time will still do that, and we are looking forward to that. I know this committee is looking forward to meeting some new friends, and getting re-acquainted with some old friends. We will however, cancel the group breakfast and also have to cancel getting t-shirts. If that happens, those that have pre-registered and paid up will receive the appropriate refund when you get here. The Wednesday evening wrap-up dinner is still on. Here again are the contact and email listings for the various functions: To register contact Hal at venturerally@hotmail.com To order patches or T-shirts contact Al at venture_rally_stuff@yahoo.com To purchase raffle tickets contact Reiny at reinyrooster@hotmail.com The link to the rally page that has all the information that anyone might need is in my signature below. If we don’t get sufficient numbers to continue as originally planned by May 30th, the rally registration after that date will be $30.00, which will include the Wednesday night wrap-up dinner.
