I have gas leaking from both over flow hoses on my carbs any suggestions or ideas all 4 carbs were rebuilt and synced and did not have this problem before I started putting everything back together:confused24:

The previous owner had the carbs were synced by Muffinman last summer. She runs great but I feel she is eating too much gas. Does anyone have a write up of what I would need to do & what I would need to have on hand (equipment wise) other than a screwdriver to decrease the feul intake? Would the carbs need to be synced again if I do?

I know some here have more than one bike and I was wondering if anyone has sync'ed the carbs on a Road Star. If so, is there a write-up on the procedure? I'm assuming it is possible...

Anyone near the MS Gulf Coast w/ a carb sync tool I can use or pay to sync my carbs? I bought the '07 used w/ 9,000 mi on it and now I have just over 15,000 on it. To my knowledge it has never been synced and I am sure it needs it. Can I get some help. Am willing to pay for use or service either way. Thanks, Carl

My wife's cousin just bought a beautiful 1st gen Blondie (mkII) and we did a carb sync on it last night. When I went to attach the Carbtune, the vacuum hose rather than attaching directly to the #2 cyl was split and connected to both #1 & #2. On the other side, there was a piece of hose that connected #3 & #4 together. It surprised me a bit? We synced it up and then put it back as we found it. What effect, if any will this set up have on the operation? Should he put it back to stock? Curious! Dave

I have 2006 with 5000 miles on it. I started it last week and it ran rough right away and would stall when I opened the throttle...ran a bit better when really warmed up. I never had this problem. It was supposedly synced when the dealer had it at 3000 miles. The bike did sit for about three weeks before I sterted it. I addes Seafoam at that point to the fuel. I also ordered a Carbtune Pro and was able to sync the carbs after the bike was very warm. The bike ran very good a couple of days ago. Yesterday the same crap again...choppy running. The only thing I can think of is I may have left the choak open while riding before it first ran choppy last week before I synced. Is it possible I fouled a plug leaving the choak open? Does it make sense the bike would run much better when really warmed up because the plug is firing a bit better even though it could be fouled? I really think the carbs are synced properly. Also, the socket that came with the bike to remove the plugs fits on the plug ,but I guess I need a special ratchet to fit on the long plug socket? Do I need to remove the large brackets on the front jugs to get to the front plugs? Do you think it could be the plugs? It pops on deceleration and definitly it missing or out of tune. Thanks. Ty

Hi all. I have a 2007 Venture and wanted to ask a question: I've had the carbs synced 2 times in 9,000 miles. Both times they were synced, I start getting a backfire out of the right side exhaust when decelerating (in gear). Never the left side, always the right. The bike hasn't backfired since I ran a bottle of Seafoam in it earlier this summer. Had my 8,000 mile service done today. On the way home, it's backfiring again! What are your thoughts? It's not bad, but I prefer it not to backfire. I had the dealer service dept. look for an exhaust leak the last time. I've tried to find one as well, but there just doesn't appear to be a leak. Is this something any of you have experienced? Thanks....

Title Says it all Yesterday I got home and replaced the plugs on the bike then synced the carbs. Vacume on each carb is just about the same. the problem came in after i shut the bike down... about 20 min later it was hard to start and this morning it wouldn't stay running. any ideas on what I should be looking at next? it was running realy rich before I did the sync so not sure what I should be doing.
