Well the Mayans got it right. How do I know this? I know this because "Sweet Home Alabama" came on the radio today and I turned it down. Shocking I know never in my life have I ever turned it down

We went up to Jackson, Missouri today, to look at a red '56 Ford, but it wasn't up to snuff. BUT....the guy had this sweet '55 Ford, and it was just right. Brought it home with us. Has a fairly fresh 292 in it, and it runs sweet.

I haven't posted here for awhile as I haven't had a ride. Today I traded my 53 Mercury for a 98 Ultra Classic Anniversary edition that is pretty sweet. I decided I would rather be riding then sitting at a car show!

Hey All, my "Sweet Thing" has found a new owner, and home in TX. Yesturday Evening, Old School heading back home to TX from Northern Michigan. I will miss that Beautiful 03 RSV. Best Motorcycle I have ever owned!!! I know Ray wouldn't ask, but ...he has a long way to go, and is tight on time and money. A stayover at one of our members might help him out. It would also be great if some VR members jumped on their bikes and rode with him a bit. Later-

Southern California to San Francisco, across the Golden Gate Bridge and back down...Hell of a day. I learned a valuable lesson though...dont lollygag around during the first few stops...push the mileage while you are fresh...my buddy and I took our sweet time and were forced to hit it hard the last 5 hours...but we did it!!!

Well......I have to tell all I have departed for the Dark Side. My Sweet wife surprised me with a new ride. A 2010 Harley Ultra Classic Peace Officer Special Edition. Picked it up yesterday afternoon and rode it on my first ride today. I have really enjoyed the Venture and will miss is the the Harley is a sweet ride. I will be posting my 04 Venture on the For Sale Page at $6500 for any VentureRider.org member. It has 50,000 miles on it. It will be hard to part with because it has been such a sweet ride. If anyone is interested they can let me know and I will get back with them to answer any questions.

Got my chrome all on, added another light and had her all shinned up for Sunday. But Sunday did not live up to its name and it was wet and cold. But today the sun came out and even tho I had to putt 4 miles of dirt road to get to pavement- cuz theres a bad bad mudhole my usual 1/2 mile to the pavement, I was able to get some wind in my face. First ride of the year and she felt good, bike felt strong and im excited for summer!

I've spent the last few days searching the forums for the tci problems - sure enough I finally got in and found the TCI under the battery box. I removed it through the right side(after removing the trim/screen below the upper fairing) and it had a teaspoon of water in it! Who is Mr Yamahas' engineer? I took the lid off and let it dry out for a day, brought the connectors up to the air cleaner lid, plugged the tci back in and it fired right up! Sweet! Now, you guys that have done this "relocation", What do I have to trim to get the "false gas tank" to fit back on? Seems like the TCI is holding it up 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch.

Not looking for trouble just honest opinions. I am currantly mounted up on an 08 Venture. But went to a PGR meet and greet at Strokers in Dallas this past saturday. They are a Victory dealer, Big Dog, and a few others I imagine. Anyway went inside the show room to "just Look" guess what caught my eye, (the gals too)? The Victory Vision Tour Premium. Looks like a sweet ride. Big, Bold, Futuristic, and maybe just too sweet to pass on. I don't know. I love my venture. 40k+ in a year. But this vision is just freekin cool. so heres the questions. Anybody Rode one? Opinions please. Anybody bought one? After the honey moon thoughts. Anybody thinking like me but afraid to trade a devil you know for one you don't? Be honest and constructive, 23k and change as is on the dealer floor. I know thats a cosiderable bit more than our beloved Ventures do you think the value is there? I read a few on line reviews and the bike has recieved a better than favorable rating. Kicked the snot out of the Ultra. was not rated against the Venture that I could find. what will I be giving up going from the V 4 to a V twin. seems to make the same horse power +or- but the torque seem to be a bit more. Thanks Herb:fishin:

My dear MC family God has shown his face on me and brought the most wonderful man into my life (even if he does ride a Goldwing...it pained me to tell you that...). I met him last Nov. Bill Jarrett of Sebastopol, California. He is kind, gentle, funny, sweet and very strong. Very much, a manly man. We planning to sign the dotted line and whisper sweet " I Do's" on June 28th in our backyard here in Galt. The boys really like him, especially Randy, my youngest. He treats my kids with respect and is sentsitive to what the loss they have been through. Thanks for all your prayers, support and sweet words of kindness to me. What say you about a honeymoon? Estes Park, Colorado or Alaskan cruise?
