I swapped the risers and my rsv bars for the rstd. It was an easy swap butt now i have a qiestion. Upon full turn the plastic cable supports just touch the tank, has anyone had this issue? On the rsv bars the cables are on the outside and the rstd the bottom. Upon my initial ride it feels much better to me than risers but now I need a long ride for a full opinion. I know my hands are outside the fairing protection but I may buy or make some handlebar deflectors if I like the feel of this on the long haul.

Well, I had to leave the darkside, just couldn't find the sweet spot for pressure and the wobble that kicked in at around 135 km became too annoying to live with. Swapped out my ct for a d404 this morning with a couple of ounces of dyna beads for balancing and life is wobble free again!!

Got to use my Christmas present for the 1st time. Borrowed a Carbon_One adapter from a member here in town. Swapped out my rear shock this afternoon. Haven't ridden it yet, but seems the bounce is gone.

My Venture won't start. I have spark on 1 and 3. Nothing on 2 or 4. I've swapped the coils around and the problem moved to 1 and 3 when I swapped the wiring from the TCI, so I know the coils are good. According to page 7-17 of the service manual, I'm supposed to have 110 ohms between the Orange and all the other wires coming off the pickups. I have 105 ohms between the Orange and red/white but 200+ ohms between the Orange and all the rest. Am I looking at a pickup issue or a TCI issue? Thanks, Jeff

Hope everyone had a great Holiday. 06 RSTD, I swapped out the stock headlight bulb with the Silverstar H4, same wattage. Nice. THEN, I just swapped the passing lamp bulbs with silverstar H3's. I know they're 55 watt vs the 35 watt originals. I run no other accessories on the bike. Should the additional 40 watts of power be of any concern? My DC electrical math is not working anymore!

Just doing a little maintenance on my son's, new to him, bike. Picked up a free 2007 Vulcan 900 Custom with 3200 miles. Just got my Road Kings swapped out to the Khrome Works I picked up from Godlover. I am really liking the sound of those. Sounds kind of Maserati'ish... Good looking pipes too.

I swapped ( with Brians Help ) my 1200 with a 1300 got it all hooked up It runs Crappy !!!! but starts instantly the two cylinders on the right side are deadheads you can pull the sparkplug wire off (either of these two) and cannot tell the difference i am beat - I am not a carb genius, so it is kinda the end of the road for Coot & the venture kinda out of ideas The stealer in Regina wants $1,000 to clean and sync carbs and I sure as HHH do not have that I will try swapped a couple of diaphragms from some parts carbs I have I swapped diaphrams on the 2 and no difference I got PO'ed at it a did ye ole WD40 down the throats- and wallaaaaaaa motor raced for few sec's on both cylinders so it is carb problem , but that does not help me much I have had them apart and cleaned them -- to the best of my ability I could take them apart again, but have no idea what is wrong, so that would be a exercise in futility , to say the least I have another complete set of carbs, that I have cleaned as well But I really do not have the heart to tear this set out and put the other set in - I guess my problem is that I am not a mechanic and have no idea what to look for or where to find it or any idea what it will look like the short and sweet is that it is a carb problem as a PS -- the swapping of a 1300 into a 1985 went very well I won't go into that as I had started to post that and was told the thread was worthless Thanx for answering all my questions Merv

Is there a gasket that goes on the exhaust for stock mufflers? I wanted to put the stock mufflers back on this weekend just for a change and can't remember. I checked the manual and the diagram doesn't show one. If there is i must have lost them when I swapped the last time.
