Vogel is over and we still have some time to raise some more money for the kids at St. Jude. I will be posting some Vogel T-shirts and patches for those that would like to have them, and there will other items also. Since the classified section is out of order the only auction posted will be the sunglasses donated by Dingy. As soon as I find out where to post the others, they will go up.

I saw this stuff mentioned on another website (and maybe even this site somewhere) and thought I would try it. I have LOTS of trouble with my sunglasses fogging up. In fact, they fog up EVERY time I put them on and stayed fogged up UNTIL I started moving. Not only is this dangerous, but it's annoying as hell...and very distracting when I first take off. This fogging occurs EVERY TIME during ANY KIND of weather!!!! Therefore I can safely state that I could reproduce this "fogging" anytime and every time. I received the product today...so before I used it, I went ahead and put my sunglasses on and sure enough after about 30 seconds the corners of the sunglasses fogged up enough to where I could not see. I went back in and coated my glasses with the Clarity DeFog It and then went back outside...put the glasses on and NO FOG...wore them for about 5-10 minutes before getting on the bike and going out for a ride (after all, it was a pretty day). So I am a fan now. More testing will follow, but I saw difference like NIGHT and DAY. Now about the product. It can be used on almost any type of lens (polycarbonate, glass, etc)...and special coatings of the lens will NOT interfere with use of this product. It's not expensive to buy (although you don't get much), and a TINY, TINY bit goes a LOOOOONG way!!! I used 3 VERY small dabs on the lens and it worked fine. The product comes packaged with only 5ml of fluid and a special cloth to use, but it's only $5.99 for the liquid and $7.99 for the dried towelettes. I just ordered another bottle and also this time the towelettes...and expect those to last a LONG TIME!!! https://www.defogitworks.com/everyday

SEEING IN THE RAIN I have used this many times and it works well. As a young patrolman, one night it was raining so hard you couldn't make out the front of the car I was driving. I was riding with an Old Salt 35 yrs. ago and he suggested I put on my sunglasses. WHOW! All of the sudden the visibilty in front of my windshield was perfectly clear. Almost as if there was no rain. You can see the rain bouncing off the road, it even works with the spray or kickup from semi's and cars. You will see the drops of rain on the windshield but NOT the sheet of rain falling. I have worn my sunglasses even at night to see in the rain and disperse the blinding headlights of people that drive in the rain with their brights on. It works, but you do loose some visibility. Ever since being told, I've always carried dark glasses when I travel, now I use a pair of flip-ups. Any dark glasses will work, just try it. REMEMBER DRIVING AT NIGHT WITH SUNGLASSES IS AGAINST THE LAW IN MOST STATES, BUT THIS MAY SAVE YOU FROM PULLING OVER AND GETTING HIT BY SOMEONE ELSE THAT CAN NOT SEE IN THE RAIN UNTIL YOU GET TO A SAFE PLACE TO STOP. REMEMBER TO NEVER RIDE IN THE RAIN USING YOUR CRUISE CONTROL MC OR CAGE. Pass this on to all your friends and family, IT SHOULD BE TAUGHT IN DRIVER'S ED CLASSES.

This is a relatively blatant plug for a sunglass company I had some dealings with. The company is Panoptx/7Eye. The story: Bought a pair of sunglasses from a HD dealer ( was with a couple HD buddies, tax free day in MA and they were having a sale), about 1 1/2 yrs ago. Nice shades, photo grey type lense, very comfortable, eye cups for the wind and they didn't have any HD logos. Expensive ($150 on sale) but I like to buy nice stuff, it makes me take better care of it. Anyways a few months ago, they weren't changing stayed kind of a bronze color, not good in direct sunlight. Emailed the company, told them the problem, was informed that the lenses can be replaced ($60), because they do have a shelf life, an 18 month shelf life I ask? That's not right, send them in, we'll fix them, no charge. They even replaced the removeable eye cup thingy. Turn around time about 1 week, cost me $5 to ship them out to them, that's it. Good company, wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again. They even do prescription glasses, too. So if you're looking for some good quality sunglasses ( they aren't cheap, by any stretch of the imagination), I would definitely look at these.
