Ok, before I hit the fleaBay curcuit again I know some of you are parting out some 1st gens. I find myself in need of at least one, if not both of the jointed mounting studs that tie the signal housings to the fender stays. I don't need the entire signal body, just the long angled stud that runs through it with the rubber joint and the short stud to the stay. But if the price is right for the whole assembly that will do to. Found why mine started wiggling so bad. The rubbers joints are breaking up. Let me know, Thanks, Mike

I need to replace a brake light in the left trunk assembly. I look up in the service manual how to do the job...3 nuts and the assembly falls out, right? WRONG! The nut in the middle just spins round and round like it wants to be a ballerina or something. I guess the stud broke loose from its' base. I've thought about it and thought about it and can't come up with any ideas that don't involve damaging plastic in some way. Anyone have an idea?

Hmm I can JUST hear the puns now.. Bummer, whilst installing my seat, one of the bolts (studs) snapped off.. Impressive since I wasn't applying any torque to the wrench at all but it's busted so now the seat is attached to the bike via one single bolt / stud.. Is there a quick fix to this or what is involved in getting this repaired? Cheers

While doing a tune up on my 99 RSV, I noticed one of the studs that holds the driver seat on is broken. Have any of you had this problem, and more importantly is there a fix????? I would hate to have the other stud break. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, you have all been a great help with all my questions. I hope I can one day pass some help on to some of you. Thanks, Big Mike
