Hi, Odd question about air pressure gauges. I have been carrying a stick type for some time and all has been well. The other day I stopped at a tire shop to top off the tires before a long ride. The air hose had a built in gauge and was reading almost 8 lbs different than my stick gauge. Is there that much difference in air gauges? If so, can someone recommend a specific brand or type to be more accurate? I thought about a digital gauge, but I assume it can be just as off. Thanks Dave 06 RSTD Pearl White.

I have already lowered the front end on my RSMV and the handling is satisfactory. But now I am coming up on time for new tires. I have been thinking in going with either the original Dunlop replacements or Elites...... What I have doubts about is the front......Should I stick to the 150 or go with a 130?????? Looks wise, I would think it makes little difference ....but I wonder about the handling........

Gotta replace my front tire. Got almost 30k on it. Got 18,300 outta the rear. Would like to stay with the nenoms, but checking with Sw moto, seems they are being discontinued? If I can't stick with the venom, is the e'3 the next best thing?

Wondering should I use the sidewall "maximum PSI" number for my Venom X tires? Or should I stick to the MTL (Manufacturer Tire Label) on the bike?

I had the power ball but not the first five numbers. Wow I guess I get $2 for the power ball. Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick!

Anybody have any imput on this topic? Wife and I are contemplating building a new house. I know roughly what type of dollars we would be looking at for a stick built or even a redi built home moved to our farm. Today out of curiosity I stopped and looked at a few modular homes. I was rather impressed with what I saw, and some of the dollar figures impressed me even more. I can save alot of cash going this route. The mod would be put on a full basement just like the stick. Its obvious that there are things in the mod that arent as quality as the stick/redi built. So my question is, is it worth going with a mod for the savings? Or does it come back to bite you in the end? The stick we looked at is a very high quality home, kind of a cadillac I guess you could say. So id say the mod is more like a chevy. So am I fair to say both are good, and it is more like a chevy vs. a caddy?

Good friend called yesterday. He and his wife stopped for gas not far from home. When he got back on the RSV it sounded like a goose underneath everytime he bounce on the seat. I asked him if it felt like a pogo stick, but that wasn't the case. I told him that I was 99% sure his mono shock gave up the ghost. He is taking it to the dealer for warranty. Whatcha think?

This is the wifes computor. I'm locked out mine. Can't boot it up. We had a ton of dropped power today due to the big storm that hit California, and the last time I tried to reboot the system I get this "\windows\system32\config\system is corrupt or missing" It goes on to tell me to stick the original setup CD in... which I never had... and hit 'r' for repair. The thing came from DELL with windows XP Media already loaded. Any ideas???

I have a Motion Pro carb stick that I don't need. I have never tried to sell it because it can't be shipped. If anybody is going to be at the International rally Monday or Tuesday I could bring it with me. I would like $25.00 for it. First one that speaks up and says they want it gets first dibs.

Thought I would post a photo of the stick on chrome I put on the air box last night. What do you guys think? Go ahead I can take it! I chose this stick on cause it looks like a screen for an actual air intake. I had to move it a little forward (off center) because of the two little tabby's that stick off of the back of it.

Hello all, I have a friend that has a 2005 RSTD. I have been trying to get him on to this site but he has a busy schedule. He was wondering what kind of mufflers he can run with out hurting the engine. He wants to remove the bags and doesn't like the way the bubs stick out there toward the rear tire. He wants something shorter.Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

I'm currently using Amsoil in my 09 RSV. I'm going to be changing the oil in a couple of weeks. Should I stick with Amsoil or move to another synthetic? Any harm in changing from Amsoil to another type of Synthetic (Mobil-1??).

what kind of detectors are you guys out there using and how do you like them? I have been thinking about the batt powered passport to put on the bike so I can stick it in my pocket and no crods to mess with.

RULES OF THE AIR 1. Every takeoff is optional. Every landing is mandatory. 2. If you push the stick forward, the houses get bigger. If you pull the stick back, they get smaller. That is, unless you keep pulling the stick all the way back, then they get bigger again. 3. Flying isn't dangerous. Crashing is what's dangerous. 4. It's always better to be down here wishing you were up there than up there wishing you were down here. 5. The ONLY time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. 6. The propeller is just a big fan in front of the plane used to keep the pilot cool. When it stops, you can actually watch the pilot start sweating. 7. When in doubt, hold on to your altitude. No-one has ever collided with the sky. 8. A 'good' landing is one from which you can walk away. A 'great' landing is one after which they can use the plane again. 9. Learn from the mistakes of others. You won't live long enough to make all of them yourself. 10. You know you've landed with the wheels up if it takes full power to taxi to the ramp. 11. The probability of survival is inversely proportional to the angle of arrival. Large angle of arrival, small probability of survival and vice versa. 12. Never let an aircraft take you somewhere your brain didn't get to five minutes earlier. 13. Stay out of clouds. The silver lining everyone keeps talking about might be another airplane going in the opposite direction. Reliable sources also report that mountains have been known to hide out in clouds. 14. Always try to keep the number of landings you make equal to the number of take offs you've made. 15. There are three simple rules for making a smooth landing. Unfortunately no-one knows what they are.

pulling the pin at 6 am, so won't be seeing you, till next monday night, i like your weather forcast; Friesman, just don't like that thin ice, ends up that you have to take more hunting suits than underware, trying to get a quad back ontop of thin ice one is bound to get wet. and guys if you are going to poke someone with a stick, make sure it is a sharp one, at least give him an excuss to howl. It's all fun and games till someone loses an eye, then it gets halarious. pete:thumbsup2:

I find that I am in need of two parts for my ride. #1 If any member has the right engine guard that is not scratched up I would appreciate a heads up PM or email and maybe we can strike some sort of deal. #2 A buddy stopped by with his bike, and he has a bit of chrome on the fairing, directly below the mirror, on the fairing edge. I do not think this was a stock item, and looks to be some sort of stick on aftermarket. If someone has two of these (right and left) on a bike that they can be peeled off...or if there is a supplier for these I sure would like to know. Thanks all.

Yeah yeah, I know its not motorcycle related. I figured I would give any puckheads here a shot a some of this stuff before I EBAY it or whatever I decide to do with it. I am going to move to Florida and am gonna sell of a bunch of stuff I dont wanna drag along with me. If anyone is interested I have tons of autographed hockey pics and cards that I have collected over the years. Some of the stuff I have is: Gordie Howe, Wayne Gretzky (this is framed 8x10 with a die cut icon card included and a stat sheet), Rocket Richard, Terrible Ted Lindsey, Grant Fuhr, Bobby Hull, Brett Hull, Forsberg, Sakic, John Leclair. A Roy Sakic and Lemieux holding the Conn Smythe, Gump Worsley, Boom Boom Geoffrion, Bernie Parent, Mark Mesier, Tony Twist, Dominik Hasek...blah blah blah. Tons of stuff including a 1 year only promotional goalie stick ( a real stick not some cheap plasitc knock off) with the AVS logo and Miller Lite ( Coors Light became the sponsor the second year and still is) and thousands of cards. If you are interested hit me up. Looking for something in particular...I might have it. Can send pics of things you are interested in.

It seems that every year, more things seem to slip past me..... Must be that CRS thing. So, if I could get everyone to print off the below attachment and stick it on their fridge, I wouldn't have to be concerned about slighting anyone any more. Thanks much. I know I can count on you folks.......
