Hey guys finally got all my speakers installed abd they sound great! I did however manage to lose two of those bolts that hold the speaker in place. They're kind of a special bolt and I'm wondering if anyone knows where to find these? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

I've been working alot for the last few months trying to save up for a new RSV and not have much time to hang out with the boss. Well today before I went to work I went with her to our local Wal-Mart to pick up a few things. One item we needed was a gallon of milk. I went to the cooler where the milk was and could not believe it, I actually said out loud " Oh my god, $5.14 for a gallon of milk, you've got to be kiding me" What in the world is going on? Is there a new special breed of cow producing this high dollar milk. Last time I checked the same old cows producing the same old milk that was $2.00 a gallon the last time I went shopping. If the are any dairy people on the forum please inlighten me.

Has anyone painted their helmets to match their bikes? I don't want flames, or graphics, just simply matching my 07 blue. What type/make of paint, and special insights would be greatly appriciated 3d

Hard to believe that another year has come and gone. I want to wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and thank you for your continued participation in the VentureRider club. I lose track of how many years we have been here now but I can say that they are some of the best years of my life. The friendships made here are the type that will last many many years and such friendships are sometimes hard to find now days. I know that many of you have gone through some difficult times over the past year. Some just recently. Please know that our thoughts and prayers continue to be with you during this special time of the year. Know that we are here for you and we do care. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and again, thank you for all that you do. I may have built this site but without each and every one of you, it would just be another of the millions of websites available. YOU make it the special place that it is.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Dedicated to my Tessie of 15 years. Thank you for your unconditional love and dedication my beloved pet. Crossed the Rainbow Bridge 10 August 2012 @ 4:10PM Boomer....with heavy heart and many tears....

Eileen want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of you who came to Maintenance Day this year. We love doing this and our reward is seeing everybody having a nice time. That is all it is about. It was great spending time with old friends and familiar faces and always great meeting new people. As usual, you were all a class act. The numbers were down a bit this year but we still had a fantastic crowd. I think I made a mistake this year when I moved it forward by a week. A lot of folks had graduations and etc. to attend. We were not at all disappointed in the turnout but there were some of our regulars that we truly missed. I will try next year to move it to the middle of June again. A special thanks to all who jumped in and helped with the Maintenance activities. I simply could not do this without your help. I know that Skydoc truly missed having V7Goose around as well as Squidley and a couple others who usually jump in and help. Also, a special thanks to all the ladies who help Eileen get the food arranged and served and maintaining some sense of order to things. It was another successful weekend that Eileen and I both agree went by way too quick. We are already looking forward to next year. Well, at least we will be after a good nights sleep.

Hi folks, anyone know where to find the chrome truss head screws for the chin, side radiator covers and the two very special windshield garnish screws for my '87 first gen? Previous owner hacked mine into rusty little blobs of steel. I've tried fender washers and the like but nothing seems to be as good as the screws that were made to fit. Maybe someone has a stash in a coffee can they would part with? Thanks in advance!

Does the same Spin-On-Oil Filter adaptor fit both the 89 and 91 VR. Are there any special tools needed? Are there any special instruction tips? Are there any thing to be carefull of?

I got the C.R.A.B.S. Can't Ride A Bike Syndrome I'm a confessed bike addict and literally ride every day. But, I haven't ridden a bike in over 5 weeks! However, I really do have such a good reason. After a year of extensive paperwork and travel, my wife and I just adopted our 16 month old son, Simon Joseph. He is considered special needs - Albinism. He is just beautiful! We are in our early 50s and have four grown children. So, we are starting over. I'm gonna try to attach his photo. Rusty

So I got the forks off and the springs removed. I cannot figure out the removal of the 10mm hex head bolt in the bottom of the forks. I can get it to turn, but not loosen. The manual talks about some special tool, but I don't see any mention in the instructions I am following. Help ??? How do I remove those bolts ????

I was looking at some other bikes (HD) awile back and of course they had special editions and something like 105yr aniversary edition etc. Why you would signafy 105yr not 100 I dont know. Anyways Since the G2 started in 99 was there any designation or "special" model in 2009? Like 10 aniv edition. I had a FOX body mustang GT that was like 25th aniv I think.

Oh boy oh boy!! We are finally starting our 3 week vacation today! Driving down to Florida then taking an 8 day cruise followed by a day at Disney then heading back. The thing that is going to give this vacation that extra special touch is meeting up with members of the VR family along the way! As many of you know this site is special and very dear to my heart so I am really looking forward to the commute. Tonight is West Virginia meeting up with Skid and Yammer Dan. Haven't seen Skid since Asheville in '07 I think. Dan I always see at MD. We're leaving around 10:00 and having lunch in Erie Pa. Here's the link to the original thread... http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=66301

About 25,000 miles ago my 2000 venture failed and would not start.....after checking everything for several days finally figured that the pick up assembly (part # 4nk 81670-00-00) had failed. Its also called an Ignition pickup pulse generator. The first one I replaced was ordered through Yamaha. This time I will get a used one from Pinwill. What I would like to know is if anyone else has had this problem or maybe I am just special. By the way I looked through the forum and could not find anyone else with the same problem....Both times the pick up assembly failed it was in the my garage, a day or three after a long hard ride, 10hr 60-80mph.

I am in no way ready to ride again and would love to get another Venture but I don't think I could ever handle the weight of one with my shoulder the way it was reconstructed, so I found this 79 XS Eleven special. I have owned 2 one 79 and one 82 the 82 I took cross country. This one looks like showroom condition and is not far from me. What do you folks think. Anyone out there have a lower right side fairing/wind deflector with louvers? Black would be great:o) While I'm at it...since these pieces are plastic as opposed to fiberglass...is special paint required. I'd hate to paint this baby and see the stuff melt away!! Ride safe, Mike

I know I saw something somewhere on here about trailering a RSV. Damned if I can find it though. After 3-1/2 months, my bike may finally be fixed after I got hit. Still can't ride due to my injuries, so she needs to be trailerd home. I haven't done this before, so I'm not quite sure if I need to do anything special to the bike. Any advice would be helpful. I am planning on using a U-HAUL motorcycle trailer if that helps with the comments. Thanks. Kevin
