We had a great time in Cody, met old and new friends alike! What a great bunch of folks. Had a few extra days off work so decided to head home to Missouri via South Dakota. Stopped in Custer and will be seeing Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, maybe head up to Spearfish and Sturgis. Leaving here Sunday early am, looking for the biggest ball of mud we can find!

Talked the hubby into heading out Thursday morning to Spearfish, Deadwood area for 5 days for a cheap trip! Going to tent it as the trip with the boys to Kentucky a couple weeks ago cost an arm and a leg!! Takes a day to get out there and a day to get home, so we'll have 3 whole days to hit Needles, Hewlett, Spearfish, Nemo, etc!!! Can't wait! We stayed at a great campground last time we were out there. The nice thing is they have a great bar/restraunt on site so when your done riding for the day you can cool down and just walk to your tent/cabin/rv!! The hubby and I are taking our 3 sons out to Spearfish/Deadwood for a trip in a couple of weeks!! We don't want to travel interstate (I-90) so we are looking at Hwy 44 south of I-90 . We've never been out there before. Just wondering...has anyone ridden this road in the last year? Is it a decent one (potholes, etc)? Also, have gotten a lot of info off the website as far as where to ride, (Needles, Spearfish Canyon, Custer Park) but anyone have any funky off the beaten path roads or places we should stop. We'll be out there a week and the boy's can't wait. Thanks!
