Here She Is! I don't even want to get the tires dirty yet... She's never been rode hard, and never been wet. Well, sooner or later, she's in for a RUDE awakening! http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g158/jbmaynard/DR650/460e860e.jpg http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g158/jbmaynard/DR650/157be294.jpg http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g158/jbmaynard/DR650/1aa5b199.jpg http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g158/jbmaynard/DR650/d5a07ec4.jpg http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g158/jbmaynard/DR650/b913d578.jpg http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g158/jbmaynard/DR650/928b67f8.jpg http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g158/jbmaynard/DR650/b6b313f2.jpg

I am considering a 2006 RSV with about 16,000 miles and always garage kept. It is located right on the Gulf Coast. Do you think rust could be a problem? In a car I would be a little leery about rust developing sooner rather that later, but what about a bike? Is there anything extra that should be checked on the visual inspection prior to purchase? Thanks for your input! Mel Griffin SevenFour

As some of you know, we, the local butchers in Ontario are having a struggle with our government. I was interviewed with Alison Crawford from the CBC and that was aired on Tuesday last week. http://podcast.cbc.ca/w6_20090714_2100.mp3 She also did a pod cast which you can read and comment on. I would sure love to see as many comments as possible, doesn't matter that you live in Austrailia or the north pole, I don't think that they check that close, but numbers count. I should have posted this sooner, but it just accured to me now, so better late than never I suppose. We have one day left to send the numbers over board. Thanks for your help,, I hope they have room for 6000 comments. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/07/15/f-meat-inspection.html

In 1919 the Army sent a convoy from Washington D.C. to California. There is a group retracing the route. More information can be found here: http://www.army.mil/convoy/. I wish I was close enough to see this and that I had found out about it sooner.

I know for some of you this has been a long time coming, and it's way past due, but better late than never. So for all those 1stGen members who want to sound great as well as look great, here's your chance. Right now we're putting together a list. Details will be posted later. The cost will be $225 including shipping to your door in the US and $235 for Canada. The mufflers will need to be built, so the sooner we get them ordered, the better. It will take a while to get them thru production. Send me a PM if you'd like to hop aboard. Once we get 10 I'll start working on collecting the money and placing the order. The MAC's are being built to order, so it'll take a while before I can ship. The quicker we get 10...or more?? The sooner we can get the ball rolling. LIST CLOSED 1. Saddle_Bag.... Paid 2. Iowa Guy.... Paid 3. DevilDog.... Paid 4. trucker6pak.... Paid 5. davez.... Paid 6. Geezer Glide.... Paid 7. SmilingJack.... Paid 8. Rocket....Paid 9. timthetoolman62....Paid 10. Snaggletooth....Paid 11. niagara135....Paid

We figured since we had a long weekend that we would go camping at a local state park campground. Got there Friday evening after the little one got out of school. Everything was fine for those few shorts hour friday. Saturday we get up and all is well and later in the evening Cindy tells me I have to cook. No big deal. She goes in the camper and gets the burgers and brings them out for me and slips in some gravel and we end up in the ER. She got 15 stitches in her knee. Looked pretty nasty. Haylie stood right there and watched the doctor do the whole thing. Cindy is feeling pretty sore today. She called it an early night and went to bed. Its gonna get better around this house sooner or later............hope its alot sooner then later. Dale

I would like to start planning vacation time for 2008. I found the dates for the International and VIP, but they are not on the rallies page. What about Maintenance Day? You brave enough to do it again Don? Eureka Springs? Vogel replacement? Ecks Natchez ride? Any others?? I know for me the sooner I know dates, the more likely I am to attend. If we could get them in the Rallies forum, on the calendar and on the Rallies link that would be perfect.
