My oldest daughter, biker name is Awahoo, who is a School Teacher now out near Sacramento CA hasnt always been a full grown woman.. A number of years ago (yesterday in my mind) her and I were on a bike trip out west.. We were riding a 1984 Blonde Royale who the kids named "Beeg" (Beeg's Blonde side covers can been seen on our current bike "Tweeks").. We had camped out in Badlands of South Dakota the night before, packed up and went looking for breakfast.. The west end of the Badlands pretty much emptys out into a place many of you have heard of, a place called Wall Drug.. We drifted into Wall Drug, found breakfast and got to goofing off in one of their many "Cowboy and Indian" tourist area.. I lost track of her for few minutes so, of course, I went looking for her.. I found Awahoo standing next to one of those Music Displays with a set of ear phone muffs on, standing there listening to a song with tears running down her cheeks.. I walked over to see why she was crying.. She handed me the ear phones and said "listen to this Dad,, they wrote this song about you".. Here is what she was listening to: When we left Wall Drug and headed toward the Black Hills a trail of water followed our bike and it wasnt coming from a leaking water pump!!

Here is an interesting email I received. Beautiful story and song.. Enjoy.... Story About the Song While at the mall a couple of years ago, my then four year old nephew, Spencer, saw kids lined up to see Santa Claus. Having been taught as a toddler that Christmas is the holiday that Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus, he asked his mom, "where's the line to see Jesus"? My sister mentioned this to my dad, who immediately became inspired and jotted words down to a song in just a few minutes. After putting music to the words, and doing a quick recording at home, he received a great response from friends. He sent the song off to Nashville without much response, except for a Christian song writer who suggested adding a bridge at the end of the first chorus. My dad then asked if I wanted to record the song to see what we could do with it. I listened to the song, made a few changes to the words to make it flow better, and we headed to Shock City Studios. It was at the studio where Chris, owner and producer, rewrote the 2nd verse and part of the chorus... With goose bumps and emotions high, we were all hopeful and felt like we had something special. The demo was recorded in just under 2 hours and sent off again to Nashville ... Still no response. Then 2 weeks before Christmas last year, my cousins Greg and Robbie decided to do a video to see what we could accomplish on YouTube. The first day we had 3000 hits and it soared from there. We received e-mails, phone calls, Facebook messages from people all over asking for the music, CD's, iTunes, anything... We had nothing. After a couple of meetings with Chris following the amazing response, we got serious. We headed back into the studio this past spring... This time with guitars, drums, bass, pianos, choirs... The real deal.... And here we are today. Getting iTunes set up, a website put together, and loving that thousands upon thousands of Christians have come together... Remembering the true meaning of Christmas. Out of the mouths of babes come profound truths that many adults can not understand. Hopefully Spencer's observation will cause people all over to reflect on the love of Jesus, and that one day we will all stand in line to see Him. We are most thankful to our Heavenly Father to have this chance to share our music with you. Merry Christmas everyone. HYMN # 365 This is too funny - but I suspect the minister didn't appreciate it. A minister was completing a temperance sermon. With great emphasis he said, 'If I had all the beer in the world, I'd take it and pour it into the river.' With even greater emphasis he said, 'And if I had All the wine in the world, I'd take it and pour it into the river.' And then finally, shaking his fist in the air, he Said, 'And if I had all the whiskey in the world, I'd take it and pour it into the river.' Sermon complete, he sat down... The song leader stood very cautiously and announced With a smile, nearly laughing, 'For our closing song, Let us sing Hymn #365, 'Shall We Gather at the River.' Smile - life is too short not to!! If this brightened your day Don't let it stop here Pass it on with a smile Keep spreading the Cheer. See you at the river! Bring your own glass!

Just put this on, and it will start the show itself. Turn up your speakers! Someone did an awesome job putting this together and with sound to boot. At the very end of the video you'll hear the song 'Thunder Road,' sung by the star of the movie for which it was the theme! Not uncommon, except this is the one and only song ever recorded, for publication, sung by Robert Mitchum! Billy Joel - Restart The Fire This song & its title was answer to a recent Final Jeopardy -- only one person got it right -- question was (paraphrased) "What 1980's song do history teachers praise for its educational value." Never could understand all the references on Billy Joel's song -- fortunately, with this VIDEO, given the picture(s), now can "see" what our "ears" couldn't. Anyway, checked to see purpose behind the song. Apparently, it's Joel's homage to the 40-years of historical headlines since his birth (1949). Wish we could have appreciated the depths of this song when it was released. Twenty years later, it's amazing what Joel was able to put into music and lyrics lasting only a few minutes. Here it is, set to pictures. It's a neat flashback through the past half century. Turn up volume, sit back and enjoy a review of 50 years of history in less than 3 minutes! Thanks to Billy Joel and some guy from the University of Chicago with a lot of spare time and Google. Top left gives you full screen....top right lets you pause. Bottom left shows the year. The older you are, the more pictures you will recognize. Anyone over age 65 should remember over 90% of what they see. But it's great at any age. I had to watch it 3 times to even get most of the pictures. Click Here: We Didn't Start The Fire

This might get yanked, but I feel like this is one of those songs that deserves to be heard. I'm not much of a Kid Rock fan, but he hit the nail on the head with this song. I'm pretty sure the song is PG, but if there's a slip in there don't blame me! It's a bit gloomy at the beginning but gets better... Enough babble, here's the vid. (There may be a 15 second Ad before it plays, be patient.) [nomedia] "]YouTube- Kid Rock - Amen [OFFICIAL VIDE[/nomedia]

In early 1940, Kate Smith, a fiercely patriotic American, and the biggest star on radio, was deeply worried about her country. She asked Irving Berlin if he could give her a song that would reignite the spirit of American patriotism and faith. He said he had a song that he had written in 1917, but never used it. He said she could have it. She sat at the piano & played it and realized how good it was. She called Mr. Berlin and told him that she couldn't take this from him for nothing. So, they agreed that any money that would be made off the song would be donated to the Boy Scouts of America. Thanks to Kate Smith and Irving Berlin, the Scouts have received millions of dollars in royalties. This clip is from the movie "You're in the Army Now". You will see a familiar face in this—one that we are all very proud of. Frank Sinatra said that when Kate Smith, whom he considered the greatest singer of his age, first sang this song on the radio, a million guys got 'dust' in their eyes and had to wipe the tears the 'dust' caused. If you can watch and listen without 'dust' getting in your eyes, you have no soul. Sit back and enjoy a Real Star. You may have to copy and past the URL to get it to work. If it does not, let me know, and I will just forward. It is too good to miss. OK, I am not the sharpest tack in the box so someone out there should be able to help me with this. I have the 550 and I know that you can store music on this thing to listen to--I have a 2 gig SD card and can not figure out how to keep my CD's together when I put the songs on the card. I have a 3 disk series of George Jones and want to keep each disk's songs together but when I load the disks on the SD card all the songs load by the song number. All the 01 songs are together then the 02--03 etc. How do I load the disks and keep them as they are on the CD? Is this confusing enough???

Below is a link to one of the best pieces of sound engineering work I think I have ever seen. It is a composite audio/video of song whereby additional tracks were laid in by different singers and musicians from different places around the world. The finished product is tremendous! The song itself is that classic standard "Stand By Me" originally released in 1955 by The Staple Singers and released again in 1961 by the Drifters. This composite version is a real toe tapper. So turn up the speaker volume and click link and push play http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=2539741

Well last year i bought a new sirius radio and after 3 days in the car took it out would not work and could not get logged in on the computer to them to listen so turned it off and i have no idea why but it sat in a corner and was not tossed out anyways back to today today i get a letter from sirius telling me they would like to have me back and i can have 15 days free that my radio will work and if id like i can also have an additional 3 months for the low low price of One Dollar Yep thats right one buck! so i found all the stuff and hooked it up to the bike turned it on and it worked WOW!!! allmost through a whole song so i think i will give it a honest try so i went for a ride about 50 miles and yes it worked but not one song finished kept cutting out or stoping and some times it would even say looking for signal so on the way back home i moved the antena all over to try and get a better signal still no go even held it over my head still no sig. so when i got home you guessed it i took the cutters and cut the thing out of the bike and its now ready to return to them with a nice note and im going to call them tomarrow too just to let them know it will be returned and they dont even need to send my money back or any more letters to try and be nice to me offering free service just not worth it even for free SIRIUS JUNK!!! Hi there. Just can´t help but brag a little about my youngest son "Valli". He just turned sixteen this summer and is the leader in a mellow rock group in Iceland called "Hinir" (The Others). The band consists of six youngsters from the age of fourteen to seventeen. My boy is the lead singer, guitar player and songwriter and even though I say so myself the music is more advanced than one would expect from such young kids. The song called "Living was easy" has a story behind it: In 2003 my father, Valli´s grandfather passed away unexpectedly and it was the first loss my sons experienced. We went through the procedure of greeving for some time and tried to stay strong and stick together and as time went by the wounds started to heal little by little. Then about a year ago I was browsing the internet and looking at some poetry when my older son´s name came up. I clicked the link and it took me to a poetry site where one could post his poetry. There was a beautiful piece full of love and grieve that my son had written to his grandfather and it just melted my heart and brought tears to my eyes. He had never told us about this and I respect that all the way and it tought me that our kids have sides that they do not always share/show us parents. The week after we were at my youngest sons graduation at school (he was fifteen then) and his band was performing in front of five hundred people. He introduced the first song as a little song he had written when his grandfather had passed away three years ago (he was just turning twelve at the time). Me and my wife were just big question marks. He had never told us about this and we had never heard him sing. He had his twelwe string Seagull guitar, started the instrumental intro and then began singing. Tears were just running down my face - just could not help it - it was such a beautiful performance and the sweetest song I had heard in a long time and brought back memories of my father. He was a professional guitar player and I think it is O.K. for my son to quote Kenny Loggins by saying" I am a living Legacy of the leader of the band". You can listen to the song as well as two others by clicking this link (or copy and paste into your browser). www.myspace.com/hinir Hope you forgive me for bragging. I am just very proud of my sons and the kids in the band.
