Ok, I've been a big supporter of the Avon Venons. I'm happy with them as an all round, all weather tire. But I'm at the point where the set I have now needs to be replaced. The one thing I'd like to gain in a new set of tires is better handling on off the beaten path roads. Lime rock, gravel and dirt. The Avons are not the greatest on these kinds of roads. I'm not going all out off road here but I do tend to wander down any road that will take me to someplace interesting. I live in Nebraska for Gods sake. It takes some effort to get someplace interesting. I ran Contys on my old GWs back in the 80's and they worked pretty well on the gravel roads. They were a pretty well treaded tire. Any recommendations on tire that would be an improvement in this area that would be available in 1st gen sizes? Mike

OK Maybe I am asking to much but my wife and I are planning a trip to Florida towards the end of January. We are going to haul our bike down in the pickup until it gets warm enough to ride and I was wondering if any of you in the Georgia/N Florida area might live someplace with room to park my old pickup in your field or something for a week while we ride around Florida. Anyway just a thought. Rick

Jamie and I will be departing Newnan tonite to deliver the trailer Jamie sold to Rock Hound, we will be meeting up with him at Squidley's in Conroe, Tx. I will also be picking up the engine and frame that Squidley picked up for me up near Ft. Worth. We will be there around noon, so maybe if its 0k with Squidley we could maybe have a little meet and eat in the evening someplace near Brad's place. I sure we can find a good BBQ or TexMex to eat at...........

Just got this email from Trimster. If anybody is in that area and can lend a hand, I'm sure he would appreciate it. I need some help if I could. I am in crisis mode and need some help on the road. I'm south of San Antonio, Tx with a blown rear shock on my RSV. I need to be back on the road Sunday headed home to Salt Lake City. Being as I can not post to the list, could you post something for me to the 2nd generation tech talk area? I need help with locating a shock and someplace to install it (I'm in an RV park with no tools, etc.).... or I need advice on a dealer to go to in this area. Your help is greatly appreciated. At one point I know there was a service manual on-line here for the 83-85 Ventures. Can't seem to find it now. Is it still here someplace Thanks -
I went to Dunlop main web site: They list the Elite 3, in MR90-18 Front, and MU90-16 Rear. I checked several on line dealers, but nobody seems to have the new front Elite 3 as yet. Anybody know if they are available someplace ??
