December 1st, and I found an excuse to ride. I was glad to have the heated vest, but did not need the heated gloves. A balmy 6 C (44F). I love living here! (I would put a smiley in here, but I don't seem to be able to.)

The best part of Easter, aside from the religious, is having the little kids and watching them with the dyed eggs etc. And even better than that, is all the egg salad sandwiches after it is all over. Gotta love that........( I was going to add a smiley here, but I couldnt find one with a fat gut to accurately depict my love for egg salad.)

I use the smiley that has the farmer hat and wheat straw out of the mouth, since I have a mini farm and love the country. Many times I cannot find it, and sometimes if I keep scrolling up and down it will appear. Is there some magic to the system? No smiley to post!

Hi, I find the big slobbery annimated smiley face immediately below the message text entry window very distracting while I type (I'm at work after all and its a dead giveaway to onlookers). Is there a 'Smiles [Less]' feature I could use to make it go away? Thanks for such a great site to share and learn about these great bikes. Best regards, Brian H. Uxbridge Ont.

Yea...that title got your attention didn't it. I received a private message from a member with a link to a tool called "Stripper". What it does is allows you to paste text in and it strips out the smiley faces and etc. so that you can print it without all that stuff. He wanted to know if something like that is available here. The answer is yes. That is a feature that is built in to the software here. There are two ways that you can do it. If you want to print out a thread but don't want all the smiley faces and etc., then all you have to do is click on the "Thread Tools" link that you can find at the top right of the first post of any thread. There is an option in that drop down menu to "show printable version". If you click on that, it will give you a printable version of that thread without the members weather banners, sig pictures, smiley faces, etc. If you happen to be on a slow dial up connection or just generally do not like the smilies, signatures, etc., you can turn them off all the time. Just click on UserCP in the upper menu bar and then click on "options" in the left menu. Scroll down and you'll see a section for display options. There you can de-select images, avatars, and signature pictures. Now...I just realized that maybe the member was actually talking about a program to strip the brackets and etc. out of email that was forwarded to you. If somebody just forwards an email to you...the quoted text is often preceded by brackets or arrows. If you want to copy and past that text to the forum or send it to somebody else...you have to manually delete all those brackets. Here is a link to a program that you simply copy and paste the text into and it cleans it up for you. There is also a free down loadable version that you can save to your computer and not have to go to a website to use. The link is: http://www.mistered.us/stripper/index.shtml So....you can pretty much have it your way. Hope this is helpful information. Don
